If you still haven't heard of it, here it is:
An American TV crew, correspondent Kevin Sites of NBC television has filmed a US Marine shooting dead an unarmed Iraqi as he was lying on the floor of a Fallujah mosque.
A reporter at the scene said the marine shot ibn the head the Iraqi - apparently wounded - after saying he was "faking" death.
If the man had posed no threat to US troops, his death would be in breach of the US-led coalition's rules of engagement, CNN commented.
The footage, part of a television pool report by NBC, was not aired entirely because of its graphic pictures of violence, though audio of fired shots were broadcast.
The Marine seen shooting the man was part of a squad from the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, which had been part of intense house-to-house fighting in southern Falluja.
The Marine in the videotape has been removed from his unit and taken to the headquarters of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.
The US military has launched an investigating into a possible war crime.
Am I surprised!!!!

isn't this happening everyday? it is just that no one can get it on tape.
We know it, probably everybody knows it. But don't you need evidence for these claims? If the video was taped by say Aljazeera, probably the American "justice" will doubt it and deny it and say it is fake. But this one is taken by one of their correspondent.
Unfortunately, I think that nothing will happen, the "New World" memory is short!!!
I disagree only on one point: that nothing will happen. I suspect this soldier will be courtmartialed but the real problem lies in the so-called "military leadership" whose duty it is to fight a most unpalatable war that is now not even justified in the minds of the American populace. When you have a commander in chief who so vicariously uses the armed forces like toy soldiers for his egocentrical political gain, you have a "no win" situation. Scared, disheartened or hyped up soldiers can do a lot of damage and break all the "rules" of war.
Very sad and most disturbing.

put yourself in this soldiers shoes…being shot in the face just a day before and having one of his friends killed not too long ago by a booby trapped body, I think he made a decision that was made in a split second "my life or his" what would have happened if this was the other wasy around? would the TERRORISTS stop and give medical attention to the us troops? Or would they cut off there heads? Please lets try to look at whats going on here. How many TERRORISTS have been court martialed for cutting off the heads of INNOCENT civilians if you do not know let me tell you NONE! this soldier deserves a medal! Proud to support the Americans!
why is worse kill men by beheading than by bombing or shoting??
i cant see substancial diferences in the fact of kill human beings … else in the equipement of the combatants … both are terrorism…
