Media censorship in U.S. is nothing new. Remember Abu Gharib? If you search Google Images for Abu Gharib, you will not find a single picture of the famous prisoners torture. However you will find a single picture when you search for Abu Gharib Torture. Here it is:

Amazingly, google didn't censor this photo. Fortunately google guys don't know Arabic, so they don't know what is written on the cell door; "Help Me God!"
Sume has a post about congressman calling for reporter ban due to the Fallujah Video, which showed a U.S. Marine killing an unarmed Iraqi. This is expected to avoid strong emotions in the Arab world human kind.
Just for the records, here is a link to Abu Gharib Torture.

Oh boy, Haitham. It's a bit late to avoid strong emotions in the Arab world. I admit to being a bit ignorant, but I ain't that stupid. It shows you what kind of dummies we have in the government. Instead of admitting they screwed up, they just hide it.
hhhhhh
Actually I wonder what even if that creates a strong emotions in the Arab world, then what? Arabs do anything more than condemn and cry for the intervention of foreigners. But do anyone care to act? I guess not.
It reminds me of the shooting of the Palestinian twelve years old boy, Mohammed Al Durah by Israeli solders four years ago. Did anything change? Nothing.
We may sympathy, but no actions on ground. However, it may have some effect of tax payers, at least I hope.
Americans who moan and cry about it aren't much better and yes, I'm one of them. A few actually do go over there and at least try by doing humanitarian work but the majority protest, feel better then go home. You'd think if human decency didn't move people into action, then at least the huge amount of tax dollars that go into supporting these atrocities would motivate them toward change.
I don't think it's an Arab thing anymore. Any person with any amount of decency should be against this. Like I said, I'm pretty ignorant on the matter as far as the politics go. I've often wondered why Arab/Muslim governments tolerated this for so long. I think I'll try to look into that a little more.
Query. When the Abu Gharib photos were first shown on the Internet, before the media blackouts, included among them I saw several photos of a GI gang rape of two young Iraqui women. I was later told they were "fakes". Do you know anything about this?
