In an interview (in Arabic) with our Jordanian blogger friend, Ammar with 'Ammannet' (Amman Network Radio), the interview distinguished the work done by Jordanian bloggers in projects such as JordanPlanet.net, Arablogger.com and Arablog.net.

Isn’t this just great! I read Ammar’s post, but couldn’t access the link (I’m in the office, and almost everything is blocked). I was so happy to read that.

This is good AND bad news Haitham! At this particular point in time people might want to hide, go low, out of circulation because of the recent arrest pending investigations of 3 Bahraini webmasters, but the good news is that blogs are getting to be more accepted, hence will become more popular and will get to the point of rivalling traditional media for reports from the ground. But we also have to recognise that there is a lot of crap out there too.
Regardless, with more popularity, maybe governments will realise that there is no way to shut people up. Imprisson one and close his blog, and 10 will rise from the ashes and become even more critical!

As for the going low or hiding or not, I agree with you. But there is no safe side these days. One just have to speak his heart, but in a respectful way to all the circumstances and the culture he lives in.
