Fernando Alonso won the third round of the championship this afternoon in Bahrain to extend his championship lead over Jarno Trulli, who finished second again for Toyota today. What follows is some race photos from the Bahrain Grand Prix 2005:
Last but not least:

And guess who was there too? The famous Bahraini Blogger, my friend, Mahmood Al Yousef
Mahmood is maintaining a nice photo gallery of the Bahrain F1 carnival. Check it out here.

Thanks for the Pics. I’m a big F1 fan myself and I’m really happy that Bahrein is hosting a premier sporting event like that.
Glad you liked them, Jawad
I have more than 200 photos, but no enough space to upload them. And I’m not a good friend of flickr. If I manage another way, I’ll let you know
BTW, nice blog. Keep the good work going!
Nice pics, thx for sharing
My pleasure, Ammar
Very cool…I was meaning to take the short flight to Bahrain to catch the GP…
maybe next year!
MN, you are welcome any time.
Just let us know and we will make a welcome party for you
Nice pics!
Thanks for sharing. Nice circuit too. Glad to see F1 entering the region!
For non-official tickets at high discount prices on terraces (which are actually th best places), see :

Is this a kind of spam or what, Fred?
Ok, I’ll pass it this time, but not for long buddy unless I get a free accommodation and a ticket to the race
Haitham, if you were a girl I could tell you how to get free accomodation and even see over the race ! just go out in Monaco at La Rascasse (GP Café) the day before the race then meet some (english) guys there. I know two friends girls that did that this year (but they left on the morning before the race because they were too tired… can you believe that ?!). For you it will be a bit harder (or try to have a close shave, we never know).
However, my Alexandra knows many people there and have a large choices for terraces. Of course she takes a commission, but very little.
It’s not a spam, it’s a kind of ad
lol…
I’ll make sure to make a date with a girl who has a balcony that overlooks the race
Free accommodation, free race… I should start working on this from now.
Thanks for the tip, Fred.
