Not to be rude- but he was a Hilter Youth, and enrollment was compulsory- that or the death penalty. Of course, your much too intelligent to post grossly exaggerated falsehoods.

Please excuse the bad grammar- I meant “you’re”.

    It’s an art :-)

Now forget about the Pope. What’s the difference between Nazi youth or Hitler Youth? Aren’t they one and the same?!

On the other hand, there is nothing in that ‘one line post’ (which are called ‘aside news’) that accuse the Pope of being Nazi. It’s just a catchy news that was spreading on the media that day. Following the link in that ‘post’ would have shown the reader the true story, but no one can claim that he was not a Nazi youth, that’s a fact. Sorry if that fact offend you, but you can’t change the history because you don’t like it!

The election of a former Hitler youth as Pope by the Catholic Church is merely another of the rather absurd actions taken by this farse of an institution through its historical series of mistakes. Oppressing the European population throughout the Middle Ages, engaging the Crusades, and agreeing to a Concordat with the Nazis during WWII which benefited them in the amount of an annual 400 million dollars the Church has proven itself to be the most predominent amongt the world’s most corrupt and ridiculous organizations. It is a depressing fact to acknowledge the general ignorance toward the functions of the Church as perpatrated by the global population.

come on guys, it was compulsory back then, and you don’t think about this stuff much you’re 15 (it’s a “youth” party). Everyone had to enroll, and in fact the guy is respected for his actions towards it. He came out and criticized it and said Nazism was a bad thing.

While the church is not free from its own hipocrisy, neither is most of the other world’s religions, most notably Islam. I respect Islam but I am fed up of clergy men praising the heinous acts of the Sept 11 attackers as a means of “jihad”. As a theologian, “Jihad” was meant as a holy war to battle one’s deepest wrongs, lusts and human cravings, not a means of murder in the name of religion. The Pope may be a hardliner, after all it was the previous Pope who did allow a mosque to be built in central Rome. But that mosque was built on the premise of allowing freedom of religion to hardline Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia. Don’t see that happening in this century now do we? Catholics definitely don’t need a Nazi, but we need one who is a hardliner.

Gladwyn, allowing a mosque to be built in central Rome is not a favor by the Pope. It’s a matter of obeying the constitution and laws of that country. Unlike Saudi Arabia or other Muslim countries, which selected to not allow freedom of religions at their soil, and that’s there right.

At the end of the day, if you chose to live in Saudi Arabia, you have to obey its rules!

Well, now that we have the antichrist in the White House, it’s only another ace in the hole for the Bush family to have a fellow panzerfaust in the seat of the richest, most powerfull religous institution in the world.

We all look past the fact that George Bush’s grandfather was dealing with the Nazi’s during WWII, ( his name was prescott bush, you can check it out if you don’t believe me); and now he is leading the blind american people into the battle of armogedon.

Anyway, if a hitler youth can become the pope, I guess that is just another example of how currupt the roman catholic church is. I guess Jeffrey Dahmer should try out for cardinal.
