Royal Love and Drugs

A former Coral Gables Realtor was found guilty of conspiring with her former lover — a member of the Saudi royal family — and Colombian drug lords to smuggle more than two tons of cocaine to Europe using the prince’s diplomatic immunity and a private 727.

The case has attracted international attention because Saudi Prince Nayef Bin Sultan Bin Fawwaz al-Shaalan, whom Salazar fell in love with during their student days at the University of Miami, has also been indicted. Nayef is believed to be in his native Saudi Arabia, which has no formal extradition treaty with the United States.
