I heared AT&T will enter the UAE telecommunication market. but isn’t 40% too much?

    very good news though.

It could be AT&T, but honestly 1.08 billion is a huge number for the size of the project, unless they are going to work on fixed lines and Internet beside GSM and some surprises.

As far as the 40%, well I think it is depressing to know this as a fact. But taking into consideration the conflict over the monopoly of Etisalat between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, I think this is justified. I can see it already that Dubai government will have few surprises for us in the project too.

Other than AT&T, does anyone know which other carriers may be entering the market? I am assuming a regional carrier would be entering as the second telco carrier in UAE.

In general, what does any telecommunication provider need to penetrate UAE market? AT&T or Vodafone …etc
What would be their strategy facing Etisalat?
