ooh quite stunning! I completely adore this one. Very nice use of color and impact…
But I must say, my favorite was the last one, it’s very cool how she used a very patriotic American theme and turned it Palestinian. It’s very feminist too, and along the lines of modern art that I love.

WOW!! Haitham, thanks a billion, this is just BEAUTIFUL!

My favourite was the 3rd, so expressive!!!

And Roba, yeah I agree, although I don’t know much about art as you do, but there’s something really special about the paintings, use of colors and the ideas!! I LOVE IT!

These are the most expressive Palestinian art pieces i have ever seen. Wow. Truly unbelieveable. My favorite is the “Made in Palestine” gal flexing her muscles. Very clever, and meaningful take on the “Rosy the Riveter” war propaganda poster. Its so right-back-at you kinda thing. Very very cool.

The world around us is filled with art, but until recently it was not possible to view the subtle brilliance of Palestinian artists.

This artist is absolutely amazing. Her realistic capability is combined with an abstract effect making these true harmonious masterpieces.

Does anyone know HOW on earth can I purchase these?!!!!

This is so awesome …I’ve seen her work before and it’s absolutely amazing… so expressive … simply brilliant!

side note: By the way, I was talking about her work last night with some friends … in light of the discussion, I wanted to read more about her, so I just googled Rana Ghassan and the first link that came up was to your blog. :)

Nothing has been more restricting and debilitating than the outright denial of Palestinian identity. These works are simply beautiful. The pics are talking for themselves. This artist conveys the Palestinian struggle because she has the skills– the raw skills to do so. I pray her art is widely disseminated into the public so it can be appreciated for what it is, great art, and for what it connotes: a culture of a people.

Recognize that you, viewing this art, are not alone in a suspicion about the emptiness and neglect of putting Palestinian culture and heritage on the center stage.

More blogs like this need to be out there.

I hope so, Cassie. The more the better :-)
