Haifa WahbiLocal Moroccan officials in Casablanca have refused to grant a permit to Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi to hold a concert. The officials decision came in response to a late request made by the Korean company LG, to organize the concert.

The officials decision was influenced by the recent chaos created by Lebanese singer Nancy Ajrams concert in Marrakech, which resulted in banning Nancy from any future concerts in the city to avoid sexual harassment, theft, excessive alcohol consumption resulting in violence, people fainting; all took place during the concert in Marrakech.Nancy Ajram

Wahbi recently sang for her fans in the Gaza Strip, -Palestine, broadcast live through the radio station Gaza FM, via satellite from a network based in Rome. Wahbi traveled to Rome, Italy after receiving a special invitation from the Italian Network Rai Uno to appear as a guest, marking the first time an Arab singer has appeared on the network. The singer also received a second invitation to appear as a guest, from the Italian network Rai Due.

The song marks Haifas first live performance for her Palestinian fans, during which she spoke of , her dream of singing to them live in person.

Haifa stated that she feels obligated to present music that puts a smile on peoples faces, and that she supports the Palestinian people every step of the way.

ElissaOn the political side, Haifa announced that she will vote in this years Lebanese Parliamentary elections and will cast her ballot for Sheikh Saed Al Hariri, son of the late Rafiq Al Hariri. She stressed that Saed is the best candidate, because he shares many of the good qualities of his late father.

Since we are talking about elections, we should mention that Nancy Ajram top the polls in South. Nancy ranked first in the South’s elections, held last week, when vote counts revealed that 18 ballot papers carried her name, with nine other papers bearing the name of singers Haifa Wehbe, and Elyssa ranking third with six votes.

Long live Haifa-Nancy-Elissa culture!
