It’s been 5 days now in Jordan. Very peaceful time, waking up late, and enjoying the figs served out from my bedroom window as you can see
As usual, every night, few of our relatives comes to visit us and of course ask us “when are we going to have lunch” with them? This is one of the famous traditions in this country. If you are a guest or a visitor, all you friends and relatives would want to show their respect and invite you for a meal at their place.
I made up my mind before I came here. No invitations. Unless it is a part of a picnic that we all share. My objective is to visit as much places as possible, enjoy our time, and get out of the borders of the walls, as well not to turn our relatives and friends out. So far the technique is working and everyone likes the idea.
One of the places I gave a visit to on my third day here was the “Global Village.” I know the concept since it started at Dubai and visited it there, but was curios to see how it is handled here. So I went with the family to see… In short, it looks fine, but not as big as I used to see it at Dubai. However, some of the participant countries didn’t give it good attention. In fact, some countries wings are almost empty, like Tunisia. It’s empty of goods, and nothing to see. On the other hand, the most disappointing wing was the Jordanian wing. It is full of goods, nice goods to see, but no body, and I mean no body enters it!! I watched the wing during my 3 hours stay at the Global Village, but all the time, the wing was empty, unlike the Egyptian or the Chinese wing, which was so crowded that you can hardly manage to enter. Anyway, hope it gets better in the coming few days.

That’s a gorgeous picture Haitham. I absolutely love the flora of our part of the world. I am glad you are having a good time in Jodran, enjoy your vacation to the fullest.
Great to see you’re having a good time
It’s a shame you didn’t find much in the Tunisian wing in Global Village. Tunisian stands and wings are usually a lot better.
Yeah… I was expecting to see more… Maybe they are testing water for next year participation… who knows
