I am a muslim. i know that i’m not perfect, but i also know that it says in the quaran that no one is even close to perfect. it also says to love everyone in the world, no matter what they do, say, or even believe in. so why has islam changed to where the people feel they have the right to tell others they are wrong. last i knew only allah could make that decision, even muhammed had to be told by allah what was right and wrong, so if there is anyone that feels they are better and wiser than muhammed go ahead and tell everyone the right way. if anyone has any replies to my opinions go ahead and e-mail me (truromeo4u20@yahoo.com) allah be with everyone (even the corrupt and misguided).

We are actually having a similar problem in the U.S. with the constant degradation of women on tv, in movies and in popular music. It has had a very negative effect on some aspects of lifestyle such as the clothes that are available. It is very difficult to find normal clothes, such as shirts that aren’t skin tight or with necklines cut halfway down my chest. I’m not interested in dressing like a prostitute. I don’t know what the answer is–either here or in predominantly Muslim countries. Maybe better educating young people is the answer. I don’t think banning them from the country is the answer–can’t people just buy DVDs or see them on the internet?

Just passing by, while I like to express tolerance for all religious belief systems, from my view generated from Western Media Islam is essentially an intolerant religion of hate. It allows its masses to be subversed by a few violent backwards people. You are better off in some other religion.

people are free to watch what they want, no one is being forced to do anything, I wouldent watch these idiotic ‘singers’ because i think they are crass, but i wouldent claim to have the right to prevent anyone else from watching them. So why do these islamists feel they have the right to choose for others?

Salamo Aleekom All…..I can’t believe that all the conversation here evolves around censorship, extremism, and “banning”! What’s with you people, were is Islam, were are religious ethics and morals or this isn’t a working guideline anymore!! God forbids us from watching such things regardless the whole singing concept, and when a government (regardless of the nature of it’s intention) wants to not allow sins on it’s land, it’s just following rules……and even if it doesn’t how can people be so naive and never mention any concept related to religion.

Hi everyone well I agree with some of the people I dont live in Jordan but,we should as Muslim take Islam as our guid.But now and these days it seems like around the world our deen is getting weaker,because most muslims like us dont care about our deen anymore so we lose faith.But this is the moderate world and the majority of the Jordanians are going to vote for them to enter jordan illregardless,but the one’s that still have islam in their hearts should continue as strong muslims no matter what happenes in reality.

I will add my voice to the others, I really prefer that jordan remains the way it is… on the moderate side. We are tired of extremisim, especially imposed one where some people who believe blindly or strongly or whatever the adverb used here would impose their rules on everyone else who might believe but differently…I actually dont know either one of them, and it looks like i would NOT want to know who they are… but i dont want censorship either… let people decide and choose what is bad or good for them.

I agree with the above. I dont think either one of them have any talent that extends beyond their butts or chest, but banning them is the wrong move. It will just save the people who want to see them a trip to Lebanon to see them.

Jordan must avoid what happens to Saudis. They flee to do all of their sinning in other countries. Bahrain, Qatar, Lebanon, they are all sick of Saudis, drunk, running amok, killing entire families in drunk diriving incidents and supporting the prostitution trade in these countries.

I’m no fan of Maria or Ruby, they’re too much for my taste, but regardless, I’m really, really glad that Jordan didn’t stop them from entering! Down with censorship, extremism, and “banning”!
