[...] It was July 2005 when first published some information about the deployment of a new weapon in Iraq called “Active Denial System weapon.” The weapon was deployed in Iraq for testing free-fresh-flesh-samples (to make “Fried Chicken”). This weapon fires a 95GHz microwave beam at “rioters” to cause heating and intolerable pain in less than five seconds. [...]

It is a potential fire hazard.

I read that it can create hot spots on people if they are carrying metals like coins and maybe zippers. So if it creates hotspots on these objects than I guess it can creat fires when aimed at delicate fibers such as a curtain. I wouldn't want my house to burn, even less my vision or skin in any part of my body.

I dont' think this so-called "Active Denial System" weapon is intended to be used in Iraq, unless Americans foresee an Iraqi popular uprising which is not expected under the circumstances. But, there will be high demand for this weapon by the Israelis and a bunch of Arab Goverments who expect rioters protesting price increase, presidents going for 4th and 5th terms in office.

It is certainly nice to know that America's defense contractors have a ready made pen of "guinea pigs" in Iraq to test their new inventions on.
