The forum has a section titled: “Soldier Submitted Pictures Of Iraq And Afghanistan - Open Access”, which reads:

From one side I hope this site is shut down due to the horrible bloodshed seen, on the other hand, it’s just another evidence of inhumanity of Iraq occupation (any occupation).

This is pretty sick Haitham. I think one of the reason the US supported the war as much as it did(even though support has drastically fallen) is because Western media completely sanitises the war. On Arabic media we see war exactly how it is, Americans see a Hollywood version. Start showing these pictures on FOX or CNN, and Americans watch their sons and daughters glorify in the remains on human beings, the war support might drop even further than it has already.

Horrifying? This isn’t JUST horrifying! “Horrifying” is barely scratching the surface here.
Put these pictures next to the jihadis, the decapitations, the assasinations, the bombings, the crusades, the inter and intra faith (sectarian) wars and all the other nonsense throughout human history (the story of humanity is ridden with those) and … suddenly you can’t help having an epiphany:
Earth, this tiny rock floating in the middle of a massively huge universe, is STILL “the planet of the apes”!
All these killings and suffering, seeing the totality of our behaviours, ranging from intra and inter family bickering to tribal disputes to social competition and further on to hooliganism, racism, sexism, religionism (including the core promises of religions and how they can manipulate and direct our thoughts), I mean where does it begin and where does it end?
Look at ourselves for the apes that we truly are and tell me if you can help feeling deeply ashamed and disgusted by the sight. The most horrifying “picture” is what you see when you look deep inside your own self.
How does this viewpoint differ from negativistic or nihilistic ones? I’m trying to be honest to myself. All I’m saying is just stop for a moment, try to shut down the internal forces that impose themselves on your mind, and try for once to see our situation for what it truly has been in the last 10 thousand years at least.

Army Investigates Photos of Iraqi War Dead on Web

WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 - The Army has opened an investigation into whether American troops have sent gruesome photographs of Iraqi war dead to an Internet site where the soldiers were given free access to online pornography, Army officials said Tuesday.
Some photographs on the Internet site show people in American military uniforms standing around what appear to be dead bodies. Other photos include graphic images of severed body parts and what appear to be internal organs spilling from bodies onto the ground.
The images are said to come from Afghanistan as well as Iraq. Their authenticity has not been determined.
Paul Boyce, an Army spokesman, said that if soldiers had posted the images, their actions could violate the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which defines conduct unbecoming an officer or enlisted soldier. [..]

I just read the forums where the p1ctures are published. Those are some real s1ckos glorifying these p1ctures. These are the people supposedly l1berating 1raq, these the people to whom we entrust the safety of our country? M1litary creates people like this, or does it just attract them? I was thinking of enl1sting because I believe in defending against real thr3ats, but instead Im moving to C@nada, they would only join a just 1nternationally accepted w@r to defend the interests of the world. Leave the US to cr1minals, o1l barons, r1ch el1te, and sorry to say suffering poor, this govt just doesnt care, and the sold1ers are just as ev1l now. I used to support the troops, but I am hearing stories that this is very common, its all being covered up.

Hi! I am a Muslim from India and I have spent most of my life in the Middle East I just wanted to say, that after viewing the photos of these U.S. bastards supposedly “liberaing” Iraqis, (from what, their lives?), all I have to say is that I wonder why The U.S. and their allies call themselves the ‘civilized world’ as they are neither civilized nor are they the world. Oh yes by the way, public opinion in India is so against the Iraqi war that our tabloids acually carried photos of these dead American bastards on their front pages to knock some sense in these cowboys heads that WAR IS NO GAME. People here don’t like it what these whiteys invade poor third-world type countries see… but I guess with India being on the U.S. good books now, nobody in America will take any notice of this…

But before that, let’s keep in mind that woman soldier are part of the US army, and they also commit crime. Take the example of, Lynndie England. She just got sentenced to three years behind bars for Abu Ghraib abuse. Is she a woman or third sex?
Anyway, that’s not the point. I’m not defending men (nor woman), but we have to look at the picture in more holistic way rather than blaming a sex for tragedy. Unless you have a theory? I would love to hear it!

I find that website very upsetting and appalling. To think American soldiers are deployed to Iraq to do a job, which in this case does not involve the deplorable actions that I have seen and read. It is sickening to see them so happy in the picture at the top as they stand over a burnt corpse like they did nothing wrong.

Yo, those are some nasty pics. I think that they should bring pics like to the high schools when they are trying to recruit students, or hand them out in in their phamplets. You know “The few, The proud, the shoot up, the marines” But then again they wouldn’t get very many people to sing up.
I beleive that we are just over there for oil, I mean look at all the African countries that are controled by bad leaders, but we aint there now are we. We should be down by the borders and coast lines making sure that iileagls stay out, instaed of messing with other countries that will end up like Vietnam, as soon as we leave saddams people will take over the goverment and we will be back to square one and short a crapload of money that we spent over there.
