Some trite cultural flagellation by a second rate intellectual? For every transgression on one side, every slight, every passage, every massacre I can find as many on the other. Let me spin it a different way if i might. Much of today's conflict is driven by the arrogant notion that one side has the truth. That one group's leader, founder, etc. has been spoken to by the almighty himself. And now his followers will fight to the death to prove and impose their will and ways on the other side. enough.
