First Arab on Everest now first Arab on Cho Oyo Zed al-Rifai, the first Arab to climb and reach the summit of Mount Everest is now officially the first Arab to climb and reach the summit of Cho Oyo Mountain. Rifai, announced last Thursday at 1:50 p.m. Beijing time his successful climb to mount Cho Oyo from altitude 8,201 meters.

Rifai is a Kuwaiti national and the first Arab to climb Mount Everest. He made history by being the 46th person to climb all seven highest summits in the seven continents of the world. On September 9th, Rifai commenced his adventure to climb Cho Oyo, the sixth highest mountain in the world.
