Bahrain New family law drive launched. Very creative, but lots of troubles ahead…
Opposition for such a law from the religious leaders, beside the Sunnis and the Shi’ites each came up with their own suggestions.
Under the current system, Sharia judges pass judgement on family cases based on traditional Islamic law - which is vague and the judge’s interpretation tends to favour men.
