Egypt said that it would dispatch a legal delegation to Qatar to question a Qatari prince accused of causing the death of five Egyptians in a high-speed illegal car race accident. The Egyptian authorities accuse Suleiman Saud Al Thani, a member of Qatar’s ruling family, of killing the five and injuring 14 others when his car flew into a crowd of spectators during an illegal car race on the Cairo airport road on September 23.
The families of the victims accuse the Egyptian authorities of having helped him escape back to Qatar shortly after the accident, during which he was driving his car at a speed of 124 miles per hour (200 kilometers per hour).
