These are gender crimes dressed with religion. Buried beneath is that weird concept of women bearing the responsibilty of family honor and basing on their concept of "purity". These things happen a lot in Hindu and Sikh India. It is a cultural issue really. As to these people getting justice, as far as I am concerned, murder is murder, and should be treated as such no matter whether it is your son, brother, father or husband who kills you.
