If Louai Saadi was a military leader, that's not the case with all other killed along with him and other over other span of time and place. Or you want to tell me that IOF kills only militants? In that case, you are considering all Palestinians are militant. And to be honest with you, they honor to be so if that's the case when they defend their land.
Does that justify Israeli killing of innocent civilian Palestinians? Do you want to tell me that killing Israeli militant will not result in Israeli retaliation, or do you want me to remind you of retaliation of IOF upon Palestinian killing Israeli militants?
Therefore, the assumption that Palestinian killed Israeli civilians in retaliation of Israeli killing a Palestinian militant is wrong. Israeli started killing the civilians, hence it's a tit for tat. Yes, Israeli public (as well Palestinians) has to stand for this self-destructive process.
Elections are coming (both sides). Let's see who will Israeli elect. Another war criminal?

Anne,

If Louai Saadi was a military leader, that’s not the case with all other killed along with him and other over other span of time and place. The Israeli military then kills five innocent civilians (plus another militant) in order to retaliate for the retaliation. One has to wonder: Why does the Israeli public stand for this self-destructive and immoral idiocy?

The Israeli military kills militant leaders because they’re allegedly planning suicide bombings, and the militant group conducts a suicide bombing in retaliation, killing five. not to be unfair ourselves, we need to remember that there are journalists here in USA doing their best to educate the american readers and tell them the real facts about the occupation in Palestine.
Peter Jennins who died lately was one of them and because of his positions he had more ennemies than friends here.

nice blog Haitham,<br

I think you are right and the media is very unfair in its coverage towards the Middle East and especially the continous breaking of cease fires between the two sides.
I think it would be great if a Middle East watchgroup dedicated special attention to documenting the durations of these cease fires and when and by whom they were broken and under what circumnstances.
Even Mahmoud Abbas blamed the breaking of the cease fire on the Palestinian resistance. This is what I find most unbelievable. Extreme lack of integrity in my opinion.

Hi Haitham, nice blog.

There's suffering on both sides, and it doesn't look like either side is doing a good job of moving beyond the escalating violence and into a new paradigm that might bring peace and hope to the region.
I look forward to the day when that's not true anymore, but honestly, I don't know how we're going to get there.

From where I sit, it looks like neither side has much of a moral high ground.
