Firas, yes, you are right in your wonder, but Sabbah are two parts, Muslims and Christians, both of which are from Palestine. I'm from the Muslim part :-D
A Blessed Eid to you and your family

Happy Eid Haitham :)
Okay now it makes sense…thanks for the info..it's just that I know The Sabbah are Christians because of Michel Sabbah the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem. Whatever ur background is…ur my brother :)
Mmmh Ma3mool….
Today I was really glad to see kids on the streets happy…..I wish everyday is Eid for them.
Eid Mubarak !! Have a great one and eat some of this for me ;)
kinzi, Rachel and sillybahranigirl, thanks for your greetings, and wish you all the best.
Hope you had a nice holiday.
In case anyone is wondering how many Muslims there are in New York City, here is a piece of evidence: Today I left my apartment at 7:30 a.m. to take a taxi to the train station. Usually Third Avenue where I live is full of taxis looking for passengers at that hour. Today, the street was deserted! Evidently most taxi drivers are Muslim (finally a Catholic cab driver picked me up but I was late anyway).
What is the "3" supposed to represent in the transliterations?
Eid Mubarak, Haitham to you and your family.
Oh, the pictures remind me of my late Aunty Siham's mamool!
Best Wishes, Nancy
Eid Mubarak to you too dear Nancy :-D
