The story of the donation of the organs of Ahmed Ismail Khadib was the subject of an editorial in the Los Angeles Times, on this date, November 10, 2005. As one who believes in Peace with Justice, and has became weary of the ongoing conflict and discouraged by the fractious elements in the Palestinian state, and most recently by the comments coming from Iran, I am grateful to the parents of this poor boy for demonstrating again to me, that all is not lost…. that people of good will go beyond their personal grief to help others, and see this as an expression of their religious faith! As long as people like the Khadibs, acting out of religious faith, can bring hope out of despair, the Peace Process remains alive. As a secular humanist, as one of Jewish heritage, I salute the Khadibs and their faith, Islam. I will remember this when the shadows of conflict obscure the light, and await the dawn of a Just and lasting Peace…. Peace with Justice!

Notice none of the big news organizations like CNN picked up even the story of the shooting. Even the BBC that picked up the story of the shooting still hasn’t picked up this one.
