A German Protestant youth group has put together a 2006 calendar illustrated with erotic scenes from the Bible.The 12 re-enacted passages feature a bare-breasted Delilah cutting Samson's hair and a nude Eve offering an apple.
The Nuremberg-based group said they wanted to represent the Bible in a way that would entice young people. [BBC]
That really doesn't sound right.
I've heard of people trying to entice the younger generation more towards the religion... but wow. This is so... German. Either way. I'm almost tempted to say this is a joke, but the kids've got a point. Does the bible say anything against porn? I'd assume not!
I hate to sound all sex-negative and such, but considering that these people seem serious about their Christianity, I really find this creepy. Especially since the characters that are being portrayed as erotically appealing are not supposed to be objects of desire. But Eve offering an apple??? That's not supposed to be portrayed as appealing! She's offering you SIN AND DEATH
I just can't see a serious religious group endorsing enticing portrayals of people who are doing things that the Bible actively condemned. Also, can't we have a couple of erotic male pictures here? There are the rapists in Sodom and Lot with his daughters, etc... Or at least, not if you really care what the Bible says about proper behavior.

Well, I am disgusted. The bible mentions these sins of the flesh to warn AGAINST reproducing them, and there are by all means MANY admonitions for modest clothing – the assumption being one must start with clothing to be modest. Duh.

Persosnally, I think it’s a great idea. What’s wrong with showing a little skin. Plus if I’m not mistaken, the Bible is full of sex. Perhaps not all the scenes aren’t from biblical scenes that particularly had sex but still Eve was naked when she gave adam the apple.

Hareega and Haithim, I appreciate it that you both as Muslims can understand how horrifying this kind of thing is for us as Christians.
Side note, there are a couple of Christian ministries to men and women who have been involved in the sex industry to help people get out of it. Both were started by people who used to be in the industry, became Christians, and are now helping others.

Well, if it makes you feel better, they did have a server crash yesterday (7.12.05) that they haven’t quite recovered from. Hmmmm…. maybe the Almighty does really work in mysterious ways!
God made Adam and Eve naked, remember guys it was not this youth group who dreamed it up and after God had finished creating them on that day he said “And God saw everything, that he had made, and it was very good, and the evening and the morning were the sixth day.(Gen 1:31)” Ezekiel the prophet was told to walk around naked by the Lord, and every baby that is born into this world arrives naked without even a pair of undies on, so lets be mature, nudity and sex are not evil, God made them both and intended for us to use them wisely.
Who knows shocks of all shocks maybe Adam and Eve still go naked in Heaven, when some of you guys get up there are you going to have cover your eyes every time there is a video or review of the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve, cavorting through it naked. Anyway it is only opinion but I think God must like nudity and sex at the right time and place for the Bible is full of it, did you ever read Song of Solomon? Well enough’s enough, enjoy yourself it is later than you think and bring others Jesus and His freedom, love and salvation.
