Car bomb kills anti-Syrian MP Tueni in BeirutA car bomb explosion killed anti-Syrian Member of Parliament and journalist Gebran Tueni in Beirut this morning. Tueni is Publisher, Chairman of the Board, General Manager and Editorialist of AN-NAHAR (Arabic) since 01/01/2000.

Lebanon has been rocked by a series of bombings and assassinations since the killing of the former Prime Minister, Rafik al-Hariri, on 14 February. Latest victim was the Lebanese Journalist, May Shidyak.

Meanwhile, a new United Nations report into Mr. Hariri’s killing has been handed over to the UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan.

The question is; for an anti-Syria blogger, should s/he feel worried? I guess they should. This crime is against all ‘freedom of speech’ writers and activists, and all kind of human rights.
