"What I'm doing is buying 250 video cameras and players and dividing them up, giving 125 of them to Palestinian children, 125 to Israeli kids, so they can make movies about their own lives. Not dramas, just little documentaries about who they are and what they believe in, who their parents are, where they go to school, what they have to eat, what movies they watch, what CDs they listen to - and then exchange the videos. That's the kind of thing that can be effective, I think, in simply making people understand that there aren't that many differences that divide Israelis from Palestinians - not as human beings, anyway" - Steven Spielberg [source: Guardian]

I wanted to comment on the more walks/more talks post (I hope I can feel proud that you might have took that from my comment on Lisa’s blog?).
This is what I wanted to say and even though it sounds as just an expression, it’s not. I mean it from the bottom of my heart:
THAT POST WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I’VE EVER READ.
Not just because of the poetical way you wrote it but because of the heart behind it.
//Imaan in Gaza (for just a little while more)
Hello, Imaan!
I’m so glad to see you arriving here :-)
Yes, more walks/more talks was inspired by your saying :-D
Again, I’m so happy that you reached here, although I think you did not mean to comment on this post, but the other post (Should we? – post).
In fact I’m happy your comment made it this way. You know why? Because while everyone experienced his right to debate what I said there, no one, no one, except you now, noticed that a Jew like Steven Spielberg is building bridges. What did we do?
A crazy and true story I came across today, say that Prince Waleed Bin Talal of Saudi Arabia, donated $40 million to one American university to help them teach and understand Islam. My question to Prince Waleed, knowing that in this university at US, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Buddhism, just name it, would make use of that money to study Islam, this is great. But how much did our Prince invest in Arab countries to teach Muslims, Christianity, Judaism, etc?????
Anyway, Imaan. You made my day ;-)
well,my dear Haitham ,how much did our prince invest in Arab countries to teach Muslims .wel,..Islam?the way things are going right now, and atrocities in the name of Islam..we better focus on re-teaching our religion in our muslims countries.for the bridge, well ,i wont really judge right now i prefer to wait and see what Spielberg is going to do with those tapes and how is he going to “show” them to the world..
Have you seen this documentary:
