Tonight is the last BBC World Have Your Say programme for the year. Debora and I will be on air later at the show. I we’ll be talking about blogging in the Middle East and the most memorable moments in 2005.
This will be my second interview with Have Your Say team in less than a month (first one here). Here is some photos that I toke with Rabiya and Steve, last time I was with them in Studio, live from BBC World Service while I was attending Global Voices 2nd annual conference in London few weeks ago…
Join us, and Have Your Say.

I’d love to see the show. What time is it?

It’s a radio show, and was 1800 GMT of last night. I guess they will have the record of the show tomorrow on there website. I’ll post a link (maybe a copy) when I get it. However it should be here anyway:

As for the talk, nothing much though, it was a little talk about topics of most interest in the Middle East blogs; that was until I got a bad cough after which I could hardly talk. But was nice to hear the voice of other colleagues from Global Voices.

That is great! Your voice truly is global! May 2006 hold even more opportunities like this.

Thanks you, kinzi.
In fact I’ll be on Al-Jazeera TV later on January 2006; if everything goes as planned

It was good to hear you on World Have Your Say. However, presumably for reasons of time (or possible coughing?, although the interview asked the other two interviewees about the growth in the blogospheres in their part of the global woods during the past year, and their predictions for further growth in the coming year, you were not asked this particular question. Would it be possible for you to give some thoughts, and estimates, on the growth of the Arab blogosphere and its constituents over the past year? Are there any figures on the number of Arab blogs, whether in English, Arabic, French etc? It seems to me that a lot of blogs have been set up in the past two or three months of this year alone. Any other observations you would have made on the programme had there been time?
Thanks.
