Jerusalem (Ma'an) - The Al Aqsa Society said Tuesday that Sharon's Kadima Party recently converted a part of the Ahmar Mosque in Safad City into a center for the Israeli political party.
A statement issued Tuesday indicated that stickers and posters were seen in the Mosque. The Al Aqsa Society strongly condemns the Israeli takeover of the Mosque which was built by Thaher Pepers in 1275.
The Society places full responsibility for the violation on the Israeli government and demands that immediate steps be taken to rectify the situation.

It absolutely amazes me that this topic is not getting any hits. I don't want to be rude, but maybe this is too tame of an example to the problem. Maybe a picture of a house being bulldozed, or something more horrific might get your readers attention. That's kinda why I brought the Rachel Corrie play thing to your attention. It was precisely this post that sent me on a search for more that I told you about. I don't know what to do to make people see the enormity of this problem. Maybe they are all just political junkies who think it's ok for the Israelis to set up a Kadima Party office in a mosque. Or maybe nobody right now wants to touch this hot potato. Put some sour creme and chives on it and maybe they will come!!

This just proves that Isreal doesn't respect any other beliefs. I am sorry that this happened because this is the religion of my mother that I never accepted.
This won't get reported in the west because GWB supports Isreal.

ITS A GOOD USE FOR THE MOSQUE….PERSONALLY I FEEL MOSQUE'S WOULD BE BETTER USED AS PUBLIC RESTROOMS…MAYBE THERE WILL BE A KURAN LYING AROUND TO WIPE OUR ASSES WITH. JUST A SUGESTION…A GOOD ONE I THINK.
