I am so excited for Saudi Eve, she made into two western newspapers:

These two articles talk about her as well as others and those who are trying to censor them.
Well, up above I asked if I should or should not sign the petition, it seems the cat is out of the Saudi bag and even non-bloggers will know about this now which will bring even more attention to this situation.

Saudi Eve,
I respect you so very much for putting the different travel prayers side by side. In your doing this, you were emphasizing the unity rather than the “irreconsilable differences” of these three faiths. God bless you for doing this. Little did you know you would have your blog “head” chopped off just because you were being a good Muslim and accepting all the “people of the book” as equals. I’ve been watching your escapades of jumping over the “internet mutawa stick” and I think you qualify for a gold medal in the “Freedom of Expression Olympics” at this point in time. You are an inspiration to all who wish to remain free from religious intolerance. God bless you for your tenacity.

* “You keep pushing your views and you will loose.” I am not pushing them; I am defending them. I am practicing, as you listed in your comment:
“Freedom of religion. — To practice mine as I see fit, even if it “offends” you.
Freedom of speach. —To your chagrin, I am exercising this.
Freedom of choice. —What does choice mean? I choose to comment here. So I am exercising freedom of choice. If choice means subverting the rights of a child to live in order to make a woman feel empowered, then no. That is coercion, and it is not choice at all, but rather the choice of the strong over the choice of the weak, something you repeatedly say Bush and Israel are guilty of.

I purposefully left out “Freedom FROM religion.” It is a totally nonsensical term and it is relevant only if free practice of religion is restricted.

* “Your picture still looks down at us and it still offends me.” If you continue to think that my belief in absolute truth is looking down on you, then at this point I absolve myself of responsibility for you irrational conclusions. As for offense taken as a result, I defer my response to a fictional character and his most famous line: Rhett Butler.

* “You keep pressing your beliefs on us.” Explain how I do this. Or am I does freedom of speech not apply to me?

* “Robin accepts me as to who I am. Everyone else does too.” Again, look in the mirror, Kimmy. I accept you, too. It is YOU who refuses to accept ME. Realise when you have lost.
Your religion is your downfall here.

Most of us believe in freedom.
Freedom of religion.
Freedom from religion.

But what we don’t agree with is constant insertions of your relious views to tell us that we are wrong!

What is wrong with this statement, “We?re seeking that candidate to endorse us.” EVERYTHING IS WRONG WITH IT!!

It is not up to ME to pay for your choice of a private education, it is up to YOU just like I pay for my own children’s private education AND pay property taxes and federal and state incomes which go to support public education believing in my own convictions in “free” (a misnomer because our taxes pay for it) public education.

” I support science programs that do not discriminate against non-atheistic bases.” I believe you worded this poorly but from prior conversations you are an advocate of “intelligent design”, a thinly veiled disquise to introduce God into public education. You have EVERY right to add God to your children’s curriculum AT HOME during homework hour. You do NOT have the right to inject God into public education.

The court found that the Louisiana Legislature’s actual intent was “to discredit evolution by counterbalancing its teaching at every turn with the teaching of creationism, a religious belief.” Ibid. A suggestion for rehearing en banc was denied over a dissent. 778 F.2d 225 (CA5 1985). We noted probable jurisdiction, 476 U.S. 1103 (1986), and now affirm.”
