In Palestine, a War on Children: Now, state terror in the form of a medieval siege is to be applied to the most vulnerable. For the Palestinians, a war against their children is hardly new. A 2004 field study published in the British Medical Journal reported that, in the previous four years, "Two-thirds of the 621 children killed [by the Israelis] at checkpoints on the way to school, in their homes, died from small arms fire, directed in over half the cases to the head, neck, and chest the sniper's wound." A quarter of Palestinian infants under the age of five are acutely or chronically malnourished. The Israeli wall "will isolate 97 primary health clinics and 11 hospitals from the populations they serve."

The study described "a man in a now fenced-in village near Qalqilya [who] approached the gate with his seriously ill daughter in his arms and begged the soldiers on duty to let him pass so that he could take her to hospital. The soldiers refused." >> Read the rest of the article here

    How we negociate.
Iraq and Palestein lose so that Bush looks good.
    Israel can do no wrong.
    Just like Bush cannot lie!
    Israel cannot lie?
    They love each other.
If Bush is against homosexuals getting together how can he explain his love of Israeli leader?

    Kimmy,
No offense, but your stream of consciousness gets a little silly sometimes, and off-tracks the argument.

    Haitham,
Thanks for linking to this article. I often have the feeling of deja vu, that I've seen or heard this before. That's occupation, reigning misery down on the occupied: 58 years of it and counting in Israel, 3 years and counting in Iraq.

When and where were these pictures taken? It is truly horrific, and Israel has overreacted.. I wish my government would register a protest against Israel to stop this barbaric behaviour…there needs to be international intervention to ensure Palestinians have a safe homeland.. unfortunately I don't think Israel will stop these atrocities until they take over the whole of Palestine…. I'm ashamed that I can not do more than just bring peoples' attention to this…you have my deepest respect and praise
