For the most part the civilized world doesn’t seem to mind so much when terrorist are being killed. If the terrorist like Iran, Syria, Leb. would stick to the charaters then maybe everyone else would, but no one really cares because the majority wants to see them and their host wiped out. I say more power to Israel. Letum have it, bombs away! and remember a coalition of nation said it will hunt down the terrorist AND their host where ever they are.

I just viewed the pictures of the terrible inflictions to the Palestinians by Israel. I am an American who recently visited Palestine. I am sorry that people here are not allowed to see the truth of what is happening in Palestine. Although I am one person, I will never allow anyone to tell me that the Palestinians deserve what they get. I will tell what my eyes have seen to everyone I meet. Education and truth are very important. I sat through check points just to get to Jerusalem for 3 1/2 hours, no air condition, no food, no water, and no toiletries. I saw everyone suffer and I am ashamed that my country supports such terrible things that Israel is doing under the occupation of the Palestine and calls it “terrorism” when in fact it is a people just trying to survive.

It is also disgusting to me that the religious leaders here are brainwashing innocent Christian people into supporting Israel in the name of God when they are doing nothing but murdering the Palestinian families. I also want to mention that I was there when Israel gunned down a family having a picnic in Gaza including a baby and very little was mentioned in the US about that incident, as they claim it was an accident. It could not have been an accident, because the family was isolated from others on the beach enjoying family time. I saw more, perhaps too much but I think people should know the truth about how the Palestinians are tortured on a daily basis.

The maniacs who never bothered for other sensibilities should not be forgiven or asked to stop biting us, they should be damned rather. Its high time to wake up now. More to say on this topic. Absolutely no Moslem that I have ever known personally, and there are MANY, would appreciate a “head on their doorstep” In war, in occupation, in times of general upheaval, emotions are raised. We are seeing HORRENDOUS bloodshead in Palestine. Every single life given by God to this planet is precious. As humans, we each have been given “free will” Even if you are a non-believer, we can still all agree that humans DO have free will. As I have scanned other blogs, different people are in different places in relationship to these events. One’s place and circumstance has the most impact on the the choices of the free-willed human. When a person is defending their very existance, the circumstances are altered as well as the behavior. My constant prayers (or positive thoughts, which ever term suits you best) are that God protect the innocent lives in Palestine. They are fighting against the occupation. NO ONE has the right to ask them not to defend themselves. Each life lost is mourned by each mother, no more, no less, than the other. We are ALL children of God (or Thomas, just humans which is fine with me) who need to respect our own lives as well as others. These times are pretty darn much the most desperate we have seen in a long time. All of you fighting the occupation, know that there are people the world over who wish for you to be safe. We may be far away, we may have no clue to how bad it is, but we ARE praying for you that the dream of a homeland will come true and that you may one day live in peace.

Thomas, I misread Samina’s post slightly,(still no glasses, lazy me)
She did NOT say “tourist”, but rather “terrorist”. But she did say “How many british, israeli and americans are there in other parts of the world. For every head british,israeli and american terrorist head on your doorstep.” I “could” be wrong, but I DEFINITELY believe her intent was to threaten British, Israelis and Americans living abroad then deliver their heads to Haitham. I REALLY don’t think, no I KNOW he would not appreciate going out for the paper in the morning to get the paper and finding her gift instead. She says she has this “right” WRONG!!!! If she is speaking rules of war, the “head on your doorstep” is still disgusting. God, I hate this kind of talk!!
I adressed her for two reasons. One, I have a vested interest and two, I truly believe that if we all believe the world CAN be changed one heart at a time for the SAKE OF THE CHILDREN, then EVERYONE must speak up and not be afraid. Hatred makes me physically uncomfortable in the pit of my stomach, but I will continue to address it and not run away. (unless I or a loved one is in physical danger of course.) Peace.

I am ignoring people like Samina, because she is so entrenched in her own little world of hatred that nothing a non-Muslim can say will make any difference (imagine a Palestinian asking Olmert or another Zionazi for respect as a person!) - it just doesn’t work!

What makes me the most sad is that all the otherwise intelligent Muslims on this board who are just sitting with their moutns shut. They are the ones who must deal with these kind of hate-filled Muslims, while we are the ones who are best suited for dealing with hate-filled non-Muslims. Speak up, people, SILENCE IS CONSENT!!!!!!!

Anyway, I just wanted to add http://www.jfjfp.org (Jews for Justice for Palestinians) to your list - another Jewish organization opposed to Israel’s war crimes.

Let it be said up front that I am reluctant to adress you. I am an American, VERY amicably divorced from an Arab Muslim and also have a 28 year old daughter from that relationship. It has been challenging, to say the least, raising her biculturally. But we HAVE succeeded and you need to know that there are many more like her out there. There are also MANY Americans, such as myself, who are in solidarity with the Palestinian cause. I am NOT in agreement with “terrorism” no matter WHO is committing it, be it Arabs, Zionists, or Americans who indicriminately murder eachother without a second thought. Killing ANY person simply because of their birth is simply WRONG!!!!! I have spent the last 31 years since I first met my ex-husband trying to talk to Americans about Muslims and the beauty of their faith. Then people like you come along who pose an extreme challenge. I don’t know whether to reach out across the virtual space dividing us or run for the hills because you are intent on delivering “American terrorist heads to Haitham’s doorstep” You are suggesting tourists are fair play? Well dear, you DO scare me because it is people such as yourself that undo everything I have been trying to do, and others like me, for a LONG time. While I and others are reaching out as individuals across the divide in peace and mutual justice, you and others like you are trying to take that away. I have never had a Muslim friend, and I have MANY as well as family, who would threaten me or American tourists. If you were here in my country and we met, without me knowing your intent, I would invite you into my home. Then what?
