-Khairut Tabiyeen
native american indians, often called as the "red indian community". Do they live in free world, where their future generations have the right and the oppurtunity to live as such the europeans live or South Asian "Hindustani" live or "Chineese or Koreans " live and rule in their homeland. A powerful nation named America has been formed by immigrants from all over the globe. They certainly have contributed to create a very powerful nation. But who is the right ful heir of this nation. Do they really exist if so, they exist merely in reservations. As how the palestinians live in their homelands. History has documented movements and laws have been put in place to accomodate the rights of native people. Place their interests first. In Europe,a position or a job or an accomodation is first served to the native people and later if there are not people to serve it then it is passed on to the people of non-european origin. So, is in the land of So called Oppurtunity. the America or india or china or japan or middle east.
Why is that in the land of oppurtunity, their own native people have no right to rule or right to exist. This question is not limited for native people of america, but also the people of africa and Palestinian people. Palestinians are both occupied and oppressed. So are the native americans and native africans. Human conditions they live in are the worst People have experienced in centuries.
The bottom line is are we seeing a pattern of ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, as was successful cleansing of native americans or africans. Depriving them of their right to exist or live. The patterns of human displacement and implanting fear and oppression to displace palestinian people. Has been first learned in the America's and Africa.
What are the possible approaches to safegaurd native people and enforcing laws so that native people have the right to exist in their home lands and rule through a democratic medium. We have seen arnold schwarznegger going to the America's and winning an election and occupying an office of authority ruling the land of native's.
Is it possible for non-europeans to hold such office of authority. The answer is no. Dont even think of it. You would be assisinated in any possible way.
We should learn from the strategies adopted by european settlers in America to displace "native americans". Are we seeing a similar pattern of hate, psychological war, oppresssion and fear being implanted in the palestinian people or the people of middle east.
Freedom and democracy needs to certainly start from the land of oppurtunity " US of A". The land should be given back to the native americans and the occupiers needs to move back to their european nations. If that is the rule of the law around the globe.
Think about it.

The uprooted “native americans” Do they live in free world? When rap/hip hop first came on the scene here in the States, I HATED it. Even my husband calls it "rap-crap". With a teenage daughter at the time, there was no avoiding it. The messages sung were not pretty or lyrical, they were angry and "street driven". It made me uncomfortable to listen to a message that had nothing to do with my own comfortable everyday living. My daughter told me, "Listen mom, this is THEIR life coming from THEIR world and it's not pretty like it is here for us. This IS their reality". It still made me uncomforatble. Pretty songs that talk about injustices come across as acceptable, rap/hip hop, especially if you are mired in "pretty and acceptable", hit hard. It makes you squirm, it takes you outside your comfort zone.
That is precisely why it is so powerful and now I listen and enjoy. There are many ways to get out a message, but in the case of the occupation there is absolutely no way to sugar-coat it. This group DAM (blood in Arabic and Hebrew) actually hails from Israel, they are Arab Israeli's who have a growing following even amongst Israeli youths. Why? Because they speak to the youth. The youth that has known the occupation since birth. But they really speak to everyone of all ages. This song is "raw", it is their reality, and it their truth. I particularly enjoy it because of the English captioning. They are artists sending a message to the whole world, reaching out from their unbearable existance into other's comfort zones. They have even performed here in the States in New York last October.
This song is POWERFUL. It asks "Who's the terrorist". In the end of the song it says "I will continue to fight, even if you call me a terrorist". No words were better spoken. Fight for their freedom they must and will. EVERYONE needs to listen to this many times and WATCH it! The images presented alongside the music stirs. It is THEIR reality, THEIR fight against the injustices against them, and they are using music. I for one admire these young people for their brave stance alongside the rest of their sisters and brothers fighting to end the occupation and hope they succeed further.
Here's a really good link I found called Behind the Wall, an e-zine of Palestinian teenagers http://www.lifebehindthewall.com/index.htm under music you'll find a short article on DAM
Here also is the link giving info on their performance in New York. http://electronicintifada.net/v2/article4250.shtml
May their message be heard across the world.

As far as I can tell, Israel is supposed to protect the Palestinian populace according to Geneva conventions!
You occupy, you protect!
In 50+ years it has been, we occupy, we kill!
The occupied try to be free and are being even more suppresed.
Bush in his wisdom has supported Israel.
This will backfire on him when the Arab World gets pissed off at this phony veil of protecting freedom.
Hamas was freely elected. SUPPORT HAMAS!
Israel is killing civilians in support of their taking land from Palestinians.
It has nothing to do with the captured soldier. It has to do with taking more land. The captured soldier was breaking the Geneva Convention.
Almost everything that Israel does is breaking the Geneva Convention.
A large part of the Geneva Convention is there to prevent what happened in WWI and WWII.
Israel is breaking these rules in their own interests with the support of the US.
The so-called greatest democracy in the world supports another little "Hitler", a country named Israel!

Who is the terrorist?<br
