Yes, if you didn't notice it yet, Israel was playing during main-time, the spare-time, all the time. They played a game called: Kill the Palestinians!
Now the Mondial is over, I hope the world in general, and Arab in particular, can open there eyes and see what is happening to their brothers and sisters in Palestine.
I'm sick of posting photos of the dead bodies of the infants and children of Palestine, killed by the terrorist army of Israel.
Yossi Beilin, the Geneva Accord co-author and long time Israeli peace party leader and member of the Knesset, writes in Ha'aretz, "The worsening conflict in the Middle East is a blatant reflection of the weakness of the American partner." The former Minister of Justice might have gone on to say that the unwritten alliance between America and Israel prevents a debate about Israeli actions that are judged by the rest of the world egregious violations of international law. Such actions in Gaza are also direct violations of agreements between America and Israel regarding the use of American military equipment.
The 9,000 shells and many dozens of missiles so far fired into one of the most populous and poor places on earth has cost American taxpayers approximately $10 million dollars in the past month. One out of every four Israeli dollars spent on their huge defense establishment comes directly from the American taxpayer. The shells and bombs and missiles used in Gaza might well have had stamped on them, "A gift from America to the people of Palestine."
What can I say?
Thank you my friends for paying for the killing of my brothers, sisters, father, mother and all my people.
I loved the song (Hat tip: Robin).
The lyrics is based on a poem called Eye to Eye, by Gihad Ali. You can read the original poem (some parts are not in the song) here!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend, and wish that the team you support, wins the World Cup tonight.

How do I begin. Words usually come easy to me but not in this case. As an American with very limited first hand knowledge of the horrendous living conditions of the Palestinians (not in the occupied territories, but only in Shatilla from a few visits and Palestinian friends) I cannot know. I cannot walk in their shoes, I can only try to educate myself and try to “know” from afar. I do know one thing from first hand experience and that is the racism against Arabs in general in my country. Through my bicultural daughter I have experienced some things that have greatly challenged my usual measured responses. The root of all racism against Arabs in my country I feel stems from our overwhelming governmental and emotional support of the Zionist state of Israel. Arabs in general, and Palestinians in particular, have been portrayed here as less than human. They are a “nuisance” in a free world and therefor any effort made to add to their dehumanization is acceptable. This is so insideous in my country that many average Americans do not even realize what is going on. They know nothing of how the Zionists have accomplished their goals, they only know them as victims of the Holocost who through grit have carved out a country in a hostile land. They never ask “Why was the land hostile to them?” they only see it as one more bad experience for the diaspora and that we as a Christian nation should help them in any way possible. Our media, our government hallways, many of our mega-churches and our textbooks all teach a history that is untrue. There are MANY Americans who have “seen the light” and are trying to turn the tides favoring Israel. CNI http://www.cnionline.org/ (the ones that took out the ad in the NY Times referred to in another thread) and If Americans Only Knew http://www.ifamericansknew.org/ come first to mind because they are “American” in nature. There are also MANY Arab-American organizations whose soul aim is to change our foreign policy in the Mideast, especially Palestine. I am not trying to defend my country, because there is NO defense of our foreign policy in this case. The voices of reason are drowned out by the voices of Zionism.
When I was messing around with You Tube to find things to send to Haitham I did a very wierd thing that I don’t think it is possible to duplicate. I somehow played two offerings at the same time. I watched this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dSHl3C9kgY&search=arabs%20palestinians%20palestine%20children%20intifada%20refugees%20poverty%20oppression%20outlandish%20israelis%20zionists which is a video of Jews against Zionism participating in a protest in NYC. They are accosted by a Zionist who is screaming absolute hatred at them. His tone and diatrab are vile. Over this same video I somehow played this “Free Palestine” video with it’s tender message. The tears from my heart began to flow as I listened to the juxtoposition of these two videos overlaid on each other. I write here as an American, someone who cannot possibly “know”. Under the tip of the iceberg of my often angry words against my country, lies the pain. In solidarity with the people of Palestine, as an American.
No, Robin. DrM over at altmuslim.com explained it to me once while defending the practice: there is the truth that is real, and there is the truth that Muslims, especially Arabs, are supposed to believe in. You’ve been snowed by the latter.
The Jews of Israel did not drop in from outer space, and until Israel withdrew from Gaza last year, no part of the Levant had been ruled by Arabs for hundreds of years. Nevertheless, Arab property rights are secure. The arguments between Jews about Israel are as healthy signs of debate in a free society as our pro- and con- demonstrations about the War in Iraq – a debate totally absent in much of the Arab world because Arab Zionists who express open support easily lose their heads. The major exception seems to be Iraq under today’s “occupation” which consists of fewer troops than those stationed in Western Europe and is now far outnumbered by local forces.
I cover more in my post, Jews stole land?
Someone has a conscience. Too bad, he too is a settler.

It is truly a shame that the palestinian people are suffering so at the hands of the leaders they elected. If they would stop the hatred for even a minute, stop shooting rockets into Israel, and accept a state, their troubles would end. If they would stop allowing their elected leaders to pilfer their treasury there would food and housing and jobs that paid real money. Look to arafat’s wife if you are hungry or need medical care.
How hypocritical to complain about a few rockets, when they are the result of your own rockets shot into Israel.
How hypocritical to complain about civilians being killed when you target civilians.
As long palestinians continue to support terrorism, they will reap what they sow.
I am sure you will delete this comment as you have no defense to the truth.
The truth needs no defense, Linda. The truth speaks for itself. Just flip over the posts here for the last few days. See the pictures, read the TRUTH, then you will know what is the truth.
Ignorance is not an excuse, and your comment shows a complete ignorance of history and facts. I hope you can stick around and learn something about the truth, about the true terrorist called occupation.
Just as a starter, you may like to read one of the Haaretz article which “One Palestine”, linked to above:
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/736009.html
It would be great if more of Israeli people stop fooling themselves and open there eyes to see the truth.
Peace!
So Haitham, if I post 67 article stating that it was your brothers/sisters provoking Israel into an attack, will you apologize? Every editorial in Toronto (from the Left to Right) condemns the Palis for not knowing what to do with Gaza. So yes, the “The truth speaks for itself”, and perhaps that’s why common folk i.e. non-zio-nazi Jews, are starting to understand that there’s no “cyce of violence” (see Globe and Mail’s Saturday editorial), just Palis being Palis…in ’48, ’67, etc., etc., etc.
So Haitham, you say it is not true that palestinians have been shooting rockets into Israel, targeting civilians?
You say it is not true that palestinians have murdered children, babies?
You say it is not true that Yasser Arafat raped the treasury and that his wife is living on the millions that he stole?
It would be great if the palestinians stopped fooling themselves and opened thier eyes to the atrocities committed by hamas

“First, they urge the U.S. government to follow the Arms Export Control Act, which requires that U.S. arms transfers be used only for self-defense, internal security, and in United Nations sanctioned operations; the Foreign Assistance Act, which bars military aid and arms sales to countries with poor human rights records; and the Export Administration Act, which regulates the sale of items with both civilian and military uses.”
For all you Americans reading here note that Israel has been the recipient of MANY UN sanctions concerning human rights.
This article titled “Double Standards, Israel’s UN Violation” http://www.poptel.org.uk/scgn/articles/0303/page2b.htm
“Israel ignores UN resolutions calling for withdrawal of its forces from the territory under armed occupation and the US ensures that no international action is taken. The UN recognises that Israel has committed serious violations of international law; breached the Geneva Conventions; and refuses to implement Security Council Resolutions, yet the UN has taken no measures against Israel and the violations continue.
?Israel?s armed occupation of the Palestinian territories has been going on for
35 years, in spite of repeated UN calls for unconditional withdrawal?
This failure has led Israel to believe that it is immune from international law, reinforcing the sense of abandonment felt by the Palestinian people. It intensifies the hopelessness and despair in Palestine and anger in the Arab world which undoubtedly fuel acts of violent resistance.”
Our continued support of a nation who has continued to ignore international laws is a GRIEVOUS crime on the part of the US. By continuing to sell arms to a nation who uses them on a civilian population is in violation of our OWN laws. The hatred that we sow in the recipients of those bullets is nothing but to be expected. The US MUST halt their support of the “terroristic” use of OUR weapons. No other nation on earth receives the silent nod of approval of use of our weapons against a suffering people than Israel. Every single life of a Palestinian is equal to the life of another. We are each and every one of us put on this earth as children of our creator. Wake up America, our bullets are KILLING and yet we do nothing to stop it. http://www.cflweb.org/ Citizens for Fair Legislation.
I pray that peace come soon to this land and that my country stops it’s INSANE support of the party which stands in its’ way.
Linda,
Oh yes, maybe some of what you said is true. But all of it is a result of one truth that you seem to oversight and accept:
The truth is, Palestine is occupied by Israel, and like any living being, Palestinian’s has all the rights to resist for their land, honor and freedom. Call it whatever you like, terrorism, barbarism, whatever, this does not change the history that Israel is the occupation and all what they are doing is nothing more than “State Terrorism.”
I do not defend the killing of innocents by any side, but, as I accept that killing Israeli innocents is terrorism, I expect the same from other side. But if it all start at Palestinians and ends there, then you have a problem in your sight and need better specs to improve your vision.
Now, what do you call killing all the Palestinian innocents? Accident?
avrum68,
If I have to apology for anything, I apology for not having the time to teach anyone the basic “Human Rights.” If you happen to have the time to read, maybe you can start with “This Universal Declaration of Human Rights”:
http://www.un.org/Overview/rights.html
Its not an accident but you blame the wrong party. Israel does not target Palestinian civilians.
Palestinian terrorists use fellow Palestinians and especially children as human shields and the Palestinian culture teaches children to put themselves in harms way.
The news is full of photos of what they called “Palestinian Militants” surrounded by children. These “militants” use their children as human shields and put them directly in the line of fire.
Linda,
This is what your media and leaders are repeating, lies and lies until listeners thinks it is true.
It is unfortunate that you don’t see except your side of the story, the side which you are asking me see (Palestinian Militants surrounded by children). Palestinian Militants are part of the Palestinians, they live at their homes, on their lands, between their people, and that’s their right.
On the other hand, are you justifying killing the innocents because they are sitting or surrounding their brothers, fathers, mothers, Palestinian Militants? You are telling us that because they are there, they should be killed as well.
Plus, what about the thousands of Palestinian children, women, innocent who were killed while walking back from school to there homes, while walking on streets, while gardening their land, while sleeping on their beds, etc… all these where surrounding the Palestinian Militants? In that sense, a suicide bomber can claim the same thing, he is targeting an Israeli solider, but unfortunately, he was surrounded by his friends and people, so they die!
Linda, it is very easy to turn a lie into truth, just keep repeating it for some time, that’s all. But it remains a lie for those who look at both side of the coin.
Yesterday, Mohammed Al Zanoun, a Palestinian reporter, was targeted by an Israeli sniper using almost assuredly US supplied arms and bullets. He is now lying in a hospital with his camera having been confiscated http://rafah.virtualactivism.net/news/todaymain.htm
Mohammed is only one of the latest journalists to have been targeted by the Israelis. Interestingly, Gideon Levy, the author of the article above referenced in post #3 (an ISRAELI journalist) was also a victim of Israeli attacks on journalists covering the ongoing events in the occupied territories.
http://www.pbs.org/frontlineworld/stories/israel.palestine/views.htmlm Levy was at the time the only Israeli journalist inside the occupied territories covering the Israeli onslaught in 2002 when the taxi he was riding in came under a barrage of Israeli fire. US bullets used by the Israelis are being used to target journalists, a breach of international law.
Please note the following:

Each victim of press freedom abuse is tabulated separately, if targeted individually, with each case counting as a separate entry. Violations will vary in size and scope of afflictive seriousness, but will not be categorised as such. American’s are supporting militarily and financially a country seriously in violation of press freedom. We are supporting a country SERIOUSLY IN BREACH OF INTERNATIONAL LAW. It is time to STOP OUR SUPPORT OF ISRAEL!!!!
Those children are not sitting around at the supper table with their militant families buddy. Oh no. They are out in the street, sitting in front of terrorists while the terrorists hide behind them and attack the Jews, while they shoot rockets into Jewish schools and neighborhoods.
Meanwhile, other terrorists are running into Jewish neighborhoods and executing mothers and their tiny children.
Jews don’t hide behind children, Palestinians do.
I’m not impressed.
Sorry Linda, I can’t help you. You learned just two words that lack any sense of logic, and repeating them again and again like a parrot, and I don’t see that you are ready to look any further. I don’t feel sorry for your alike.
Chew on this information Linda:

Do NOT forget, Israel is the SUPER POWER in this conflict and therefor it is up to them to set the tone. And lest you read only the part of the article asking for the Palestinians to lay down their arms, it has been Israel and the US who have put the absolute chokehold on the occupied territories since they democratically elected Hamas. It has been Israel who has erected a wall on land BEYOND the 1967 borders of Israel which will essentially seal the occupied territories off from the world. It is Israel who controls any movement into or out of the occupied territories. Indiscriminate “terrorism” by any party is against Geneva conventions, but it is ISRAEL who as a sanctioned nation has violated international law continuously and snus it’s nose at the UN. Unless you are willing to look at this matter objectively, and grieve for the loss of life on both sides, your arguement is rather dull.
PS Linda,
I thought this current Gaza invasion was about “freeing a kidnapped soldier” and in smaller print, added after the fact, stopping the Qassams.

*tears*
Haitham,
I think you may be waisting your time trying to explain things straight to people like Linda (above).
“The deaf will never hear and the blind will never see”, in other words, no mater how many times you try to explain they will never understand. These people are acostumed to their mindset that they refuse to think outside from what they are being told, they refuse to accept the truth because they believe in the lies. Their lie is their truth!
Linda sounds like all the other brainwashed people in this world. With all the technology and advancement in media most still believe the lies perpetrated by the press. I have many friends from the middle east, yes even some in Lebanon right now. Instead of repeating and regurgitating what the media is telling Linda, maybe she should take a trip and see what occupation and tyranny is really like.
I live in a place where bombs never fall, but having visited other regions, I understand the significance of being bombed. The wholesale bombing and destruction of a people is absurd in this day and age. We fought against Hitler, Stalin, Yamamoto etc? But we choose to look the other way now because we all want to pay just a little less at the pump. Anyone who defends the occupation and bombing of Lebanon needs to spend some time in an occupied country with bombs flying over head. I have been all over this world, and am very thankful I live in a peaceful country, but saddened by the fact that the leaders of my country are idiots and murderers themselves. I feel sick that politicians who sit in the comfort of their luxurious homes make deadly decisions. They will regret all they have done when they are judged by god. And may the fires of hell comfort them through eternity.
