   I dont believe our leaders anymore, they see a good situation to gain some goodwill from us the people. They are like Sadat now in 1973 with his famous statement: ??? ??? ????? ???? ?????

   They are annoyed that America is ignoring them and want some attention. They are ??????? (exposed) politically and want a fig leaf. I simply dont believe them anymore

   Haitham,

   I think at this moment, there should be a strong push in all of the Arab media and political analysts(and blogging community as well) to make the following point very clear and make sure every Arab leader hears it:

   now that the foreign ministers of all the Arab countries agreed on what was said in the press conference and now that they've all agreed that the peace process has been "killed" by all the mechanisms that were put in place like the quartet, the road map and everything else that's outside the framework of the security council and the UN, one has to aknowledge that demanding the going back to any of these mechanisms like the road map or pleaing to the countries of the quartet will be an abandonment of the unified Arab position that was achieved today for the first time since maybe 2002 in Beirut which was the first time for decades before that.

   A female reporter at the end hinted to this point in her excellent question and asked: does this mean that we will not hear any Arab leader talk to us about the road map from now on? And I believe the answer should be yes, you will not hear any of us [Arab leaders] talk about these "dead" mechanisms anymore.
