From Spain i express the total support of spanish population to both palestine and libano in these terrible moments.
Only a number of months ago, Hezbollah openly threatened to abduct Israeli soldiers. Just last week, Hezbollah actually entered into Israeli territory, killed two soldiers and kidnapped two others. That is where this conflict started.
The Israeli government is responsible for the safety of its own Christian, Druze, Jewish and Muslim citizens. Likewise, I think that the people of Lebanon should complain to their own leaders - not to Israel - if they feel not well enough protected.
Hezbollah is running ‘a state within a state’ in Lebanon. Why should you blame Israel for your own problem? You see that this does not solve it, but makes it worse. My advice: disarm Hezbollah or tell them to get lost!
Long live Lebanon! Long live Israel!

Please no - don’t hate, don’t smack, don’t wish for bombs to blow up in ANY children’s faces. Let us wage peace, and find tools to act for justice. Sharing information is good, but must lead to steps to make these hateful actions stop. I fear a “rising up” is necessary - our letter writing to Congress and candle light vigilling on street corners hasn’t been working. Soon we may have to put our bodies on the line. Look at these little Lebanese bodies, and Palestinian bodies, and Iraqi bodies, and American troops bodies - how can we NOT put our own bodies on the line?
We don’t have a leader like Gandhi or MLK, but let’s get prepared anyway.

Would you like to re-read the TV show transcript where a three year old Palestinian girl was being taught that Jews came from pigs and apes and that she wanted to kill Jews when she grew up, and the interviewer and audience thought that was so cute and clever of the child. I’m sure you have forgotten that most likely all those Israeli children have lost friends and family killed by 14 year old Palestinian “children” who strap on a suicide murder vest and blow themselves up in an Israeli market. Why does it shock you so much to learn that Israelis can learn to hate also?

Just to be fair - The messages on the missiles are not addressed to Lebanese kids. They are addressed to Hizbulla leader Nasralla (you cen see that clearly written in English). No where in the hebrew writings there is any reference to any kid. The Hizbulla has sent missiles at Israel’s north every day and night for the last 6 days killing without distinction. Israel is fighting back the Hizbulla. I see no wrong in writing messages addressed to the ones who sent the missiles first (and without provocation).
I am certain there is no single kid in Israel who wants to hurt other kids, not in Lebanon nor Gaza and not in any other place in the world, as I am sure kids are not capable of such hate.
Michael, I’m sorry perhaps you missed my point or I wasn’t very clear. What I am saying is that this behavior (condoning or encouraging violence against other human beings) is unacceptable regardless of who is practicing, espousing, or teaching it. Responding violently to violence does nothing but feed an evil flame by continued provocation. What would happen if Israel or Palestine just refused to kill any more and chalked their own losses up to a sacrifice for a greater cause (e.g., life and cohabitation)?
How do we know that the kids dressed up in Hamas gear didn’t kill anyone? Can you prove their innocence? I’m not saying their guilty, but it seems to me you assume their complete innocence.
And as far as I know, Palestinians are a people who have been teaching their children to hate for generations. So yeah… there’s that, too.

You guys, i think the posting of this picture is to show that while the rest of the world sees a few Palestinians teaching their children hate and dressing them up in fighting gear, unfortunately, when Israelis do something wrong, the west never sees it or hears about it. Well finally here is some proof, which goes to show every one that the Israeli government (not the Israeli people) also holds a great deal of blame, maybe even more because their collective punishment is not working!
And as for teaching hate in schools, what do the hardcore zionists teach their children in school? whats their anthem? oh yeah, the plan on taking over the middle east, “from the Euphrates to the Nile.”

To Miri: You are wrong, claiming that Hizballah’s rockets on Israel are unprovoked. Israel bombed Lebanon, killing 53 civilians, on the first day the Hizballah started firing rockets. It’s the Hizballah that is responding to Israeli shelling and missiles, not the other way around.

Wanting Nasrallah (their war enemy) dead is not the same as wanting Lebanese children to die. You may be surprised, but there is no joy (but only sadness) in Israel, when we see children and civilians killed by Israeli missiles. Kiryat Shmona is one of the most intensively bombarded places in the Middle East, since 1978 when Fateh first began sending Katyushas over the border. Not only these children will grow up under fire, but their parents as well, grew up spending significant time in bomb shelters, subject to a bombardment that in ‘78, ‘82-’83 rivalled any bombardment in Gaza or Lebanon. The false quiet of 2000-6, in which the only civilians killed were Israelis dead at the hands of Lebanese, is now over…and a message to Nasrallah is appropriate. However, bringing kids into the proximity of high explosive, no matter how stable, is not, especially since the shells in the photograph are already fused (apparently) and are therefore “live.”
The best is that it seems that we only pay attencion when Palestininas or lebanesse, in this case Move. What about the weeks before when Israel was bombing the beaches of Gaza? Ah, maybe palestinans are born to dye and as i saw in a soldier helmet in Israel, they have born to kill. Soory for the kids, the ones that learn the hate on their daily life because there is nothing else but destruction allaround, and the ones that are teached on their own families to make destruction all around.

But what astonishes me in your response (well, not really. I live in Israel myself, and know well enough what kind of attitudes prevail here) is that you think it is fine and well to have little girls go to an army base and write messages on missiles. You think there’s nothing wrong with having elementary school kids write those messages to Nasrallah on a missile, a real one, as part of some State-run activity.

One line says’ “Iv’e been waiting for this a long time”, and the name “Nasrallah” appears. The shell was definitely dedicated to Nasrallah, and not to his neighbour’s children.
Unfortunaltely, Nasrallah runs his campaign against the civilian population of Israel established and internationally recognized cities, from Lebanon, A country with which the border is recognized, form a bunker in a densely populated area.

I want to tell u a story, & try to imagine it with me!
It was a sunny morning,in a small village on God’s beautiful planet,Earth. Kids were playin joyfully on the green grass,enjoying the warmth of the sun, it seemed like it would be a wonderful day, until they heard their parents calls; to get ready to move. It was an evacuation order by a marching army calling on the small population of that village to leave their houses & everything behind, for an invasion was coming!
The children were gathered, and up onto a pick-up truck, it seemed like a safe way to transport, for the truck was with no roof so everybody would see that it was transporting kids & nothing but kids. Their identity, their blossoming age & their small soft bodies & lovely looks were their only weapon of defense. Can u see them…. CAN U SEE THAT TRUCK.. driving on the village way , loaded with kids trying to find a safe house of anykind to provide them the proper shelter they deserve.
Suddenly , they reach a United Nations house,a center founded to help the ones in need, and provide them with the minimum level of safety & shelter to sustain their survival. Signs of relief & joy drew on their faces & the driver relaxed thinking that his dangerous trip has come to an end by finding a safe haven to foster those kids even for a short length of time, but to his surprise, he realized that his & those children’s ordeal; was far from over. The UN troops in that building refused to receive the innocent angels, and a UN soldier waves his gun & orders the driver to leave with the kids,as if he smelled the scent of death in those roses. It seemed that he knew the lurking enemy more than anyone.
The driver turns on the pick up truck and moves away feeling turned down, desperate & afraid , yet he didnt give up knowing that all what he was carrying were human juveniles & that the darkest frowning face would smile upon seeing a five year old boy or a nine year old girl.
He drove tryin to reach the nearest village, cheered up by the childrens singing in the back and their innocent laughs who would leap into one’s heart upon hearing them. And suddenly the sound of an air raid rang out in the sky, his heart started pounding rapidly… but not for long, two missiles launched from the F-16 up, BOOOOOMMMM , hit right into the truck erasing not only any sign of life, but the laughters & smiles of innocent kids who never knew what hit them.
Can U see them… burnt out pieces of flesh scattered here and there,limbs & faces covered with their own Ashes, a tiny melting hand holding a Barbie doll & laughs filling the air one minute ago.
I want u to imagine those “X-kids”, can u see them, degrading by the burning effect of fire & explosives, transforming into black skeletons with nothing but hair & their pure souls rising up to the Lord.
Now imagine they R americans.
I want each & everyone of u to imagine them as his & her kids, AND ACT UPON THAT!

I am neither Jewish nor an Arab. I’m an American so I guess many will think I side with Israel and against Arabs, but that’s not necessarily true. I have some Jewish friends, and Arab friends as well.
I’d like to float a proposal that I have absolutely no power to make happen. But sometimes good ideas don’t necessarily come from the people in charge, so here goes.
1. Israel relocates to a piece of land of the same size and general landscape in the United States. Perhaps part of Florida or California, on the water, just as their country is now. They would have total independence, much like the Indian Reservations that exist today in the US.
2. The present land that Israel would vacate would be turned over to the group of Arab states that currently border Israel to divide it as they wish.
3. In order to appease all parties, before the land was turned over, and after all Isaelis had vacated the land, the entire piece of land would be demolished. Everything would be destroyed, temples, walls (holy, wailing and otherwise), mosques, churches, and every single structure of any religious significance whatsoever.
4. All parties - every Arab state, Israel and the US - and perhaps all other parties with any interest in this matter (including Al Queida) would sign a non-agression pact for eternity.
5. In their new homes (Israel’s in North America) and all Arab-designees in the former Israel, each could then build whatever monuments, holy sites or other structures they wished, worship to their heart’s desire at those holy sites, and form any government and infrastructure they wish - all in peace.
Since the US is an ally of Israel, it would be their role to find the land for Israel to relocate - at no cost to Israel. Relocation costs would be at Israel’s expense. All parties would equally share the cost of demolishing the old Israeli site.
That’s the idea. It’s probably impossible, but I think it could make everyone happy.

The current aggression did not begin with Hezbollah kidnapping 2 Israeli soldiers; it was just the final straw, or a good excuse, for Israel. But nobody’s mentioning anything bad that happened before that incident (on both sides; 9,000 Hezbollah or Lebanese are being held by Israel right now; I’ve heard the kidnappings were Hezbollah trying to gain some negotiating leverage). They are punishing Lebanon, and many innocent civilians, for not cracking down on Hezbollah. But Israel is powerful enough to attack Hezbollah directly without punishing Lebanon as a whole, without wiping out their infrastructure.

But I’m sure they are available, along with pictures of the innocents that Americans have killed all over the world for hundreds of years (can anyone say Native Americans?), most recently including SOME 40,000 IRAQI CIVILIANS.
