This is a letter sent from two FOX news producers in Amman, Jordan to FOX news:

Date: Mon, 31 Jul 2006

Dear All,

We would like to announce our resignation from Fox News in Amman. Although we never actually worked for your organization, we helped for the past three years in facilitating your work in the Middle East.

We base our decision on moral issues. We can no longer work with a news organization that claims to be fair and balanced when you are so far from that. Not only are you an instrument of the Bush White House, and Israeli propaganda, you are war mongers with no sense of decency, nor professionalism. You have crossed all borders and red lines. An Arab mother cries over the death of her child very much like an American and Israeli mother.

Arab blood is not cheap, and we are not barbarians. You ought to be more responsible and have more decency when you take one side against the other. You have a role to play and a responsibility to shoulder for the sake of your very naive viewers.

Throughout the three years we worked with you, and helped you, we thought you would develop a degree of respect to people in this part of the world. But the disdain and blatant one-sided coverage of all Mideast conflicts only highlights your total lack of humanity and bias toward Israel. Your lack of professionalism has made you a tool of ridicule throughout the world. Your inexperienced anchors with their racist comments are not only a shameful scar on the American Media, they simply represent state run Television networks in countries you despise in the Middle East.

Finally, our decision again is based on moral and professional basis and from now on we will no longer help in any Fox related matters.

Serene Sabbagh
Jomana Karadsheh

Need I say more?

Hat tip for the courage of Serene and Jomana. This is the national spirit in the Arab world; sacrificing a career rather than working for a pro-Terrorist and a racist organization like Fox News.

well I am glad that I don't watch fox. I usually watch CNN. Which news organization do you think is offering the most honest unbiased coverage. I never really know if I can trust what I am seeing or not.

A big salute to them. Such an amazing courage.
It must have been horrible working in such conditions. No matter how professional you try to be, it just doesn't work

FOX is a disgusting excuse for a media outlet, and I'm glad to see these two women standing up for what is right and making their voices heard. Bravo. Thanks for the info!

kudos to the girls. great move.
kudos to nas as well who's got a very good point !! let's just say, cease of cooperation!

can any american news agency be regarded as unbiased? i read and heard people saying that CNN -for example- isn't reliable either. Media Education in one of its documentaries criticizes all american news agencies, showing the differences with british (mainly BBC) coverage, which seemed more fair.

    Naseem,

They helped in facilitating the networks 'work' in the middle east…so they no longer are providing their services in that respect.. but I wonder what exactly they did… anyway, I guess when one reaches a level at which they cannot be of any positive change, then why stick around! so good for them i guess…despite the fact that perhaps nothing would change a network like Fox, they should've left with a stronger letter!

I have so much respect for these women who stood up for their convictions but I sort of wonder what took them so long and why they had anything to do with FOX news in the first place. Here in America it's the best news to watch for sensationalism and watching all those things that have absolutely nothing to do with anything of importance. I am sure Natalie Holloway's parents were thrilled they could hijack FOX's programming for weeks on end and MAYBE that was a good thing because it kept the powers that be over at the "unfair, unbalanced" news network busy and away from their usual propaganda spewing in national and international concerns.
For me, my cable company only offers FOX, CNN and MSNBC. Being a newshound I choose CNN as the best one out of the bunch but recently have shunned even turning it on. Last night there was Anderson Cooper 360 with Christine Amanpour reporting about terrorism. The current topic they were referring to was the arrests in London. But here's the rub, they were subtedly linking OBL and Hizbollah, once again, misleading the American public into the belief that all so called "terrorists" (I use this term because of the categoriztion of the US government and other Western nations) should be fought and dealt with in the same manner. In other words, the justification for the so-dalled "war on terror". The amazing part of the conversation between Cooper and Amanpour came when they brought up the root cause of this phenomenon. Cooper said, "Well, these people justify their fight against us because they say it is our foreign policy that they abhor, not our people as much as what our government is doing to them while we are fighting this 'war on terrorism'" Amanpour quickly dismissed this claim, saying, "Yes, they claim it is our foreign policy but it is much much more". OK, I sat there in amazement as these two supposedly respected journalists just dismissed out of hand the fact that American and UK foreign policy in the Middle East is the cause for hatred against us and went into a spiel about radical Islam. This is PURE manipulation of our public opinion here in the US, TOTALLY dismissing the fact that our foreign policy IS the reason for the hatred against us and TOTALLY dismissing the fact that the formerly moderate voices in the ME are now in complete unity against us because of OUR FOREIGN POLICY, NOT because they are so called "Islamo-fascists". There is literally no cable news program available to us here in the US which gives us a chance to receive the information we need, listen to detailed analysis, or even a chance to make up our minds according to what is really the truth of the matter. So, except for the times I turn it on to get the occasional item I actually want to see, I am depending on the internet to give me access to the news from MANY different viewpoints and use my OWN mind and knowledge to decipher and read between the lines. But the nexus always starts here, on Haitham's blog, which is the starting point of all my searches. Thank you as always Haitham for this forum where our minds are challenged to seek truth.

    Dear Journalist,
And I say it to a true News Reporter , I have been watching all of the corporate news services and they reek with bias ..
CNN live from Israel, MSNBC- NBC But nobody can't even touch the Bush & Israel channel Fox News . These people are the master spin doctors of the so called " War on Terror " to encompass everything as outrageous as this War to as simple killing people is fine as long as they are not people who support their views.
Thank You — For have the "BALLS' To stand up and say what the truth really is because sadly people actually believe these reports and this only give fuel to adjenda of those employ " The Weapons of Mass Deception .." The way that War is laid out Israel and those Terrorist, and innocent people killed my new most heard words –Collatral Damage "Oops" Good Luck and continue to be a real reporter and just maybe some of your peers might do the same.
