Jewish Voice for Peace

Jewish Voice for Peace has created some good posters.

Jewish Voice for Peace

Please download them and mass copy. Post and distribute in public places. Place them on windshields of cars at churches and synagogues. Post them in the your local library and mall. Ask your storekeepers to post them on the door of their stores. Get the one marked “ad” placed in your local newspaper.

The Jewish American and Christian Zionist fundamentalist communities are becoming more Israeli than the Israelis…they are blocked from seeing the evil and war crimes being carried out in their names.

Act NOW,
Sam

    Haitham,

    Great link, great initiative.

I would like to emphasize the following from the website of Jewish Voice for Peace:

“Q: Why are you a Jewish group? Can?t you just be a peace group?

A: Jews have a special role to play in bringing about a change in American and Israeli policy. Israel claims to be acting in the name of the Jewish people, and it is up to us to make sure the world knows that many of us are opposed to their actions. More importantly, as long as even legitimate criticism of Israel is blocked by accusations of anti-Semitism, it is the responsibility of Jews to stand up for universal justice.

Because we are Jews, we have a particular legitimacy in voicing an alternative view of American and Israeli actions and policies. As Jews, we can make the distinction between real anti-Semitism and the cynical manipulation of that issue to shield Israel from legitimate criticism.”

    Everybody,

Please note that all Jews are not Zionists, all Westerners are not imperialists, all US citizens are not Neocons…………and all Arabs are not terrorists!

    Peace!

Populists, Perennial Enemy & Negotiations- the game

Long long ago, in the medival ages prior to the industrial revolution, when there has been no borders imposed, the concept of nations and territories implanted. There were a group of friends, who lived along with little rationality. As time passed by rationality evolved and regulations and societal norms have been put into place. With greed, power rationality achieved a new dimensionality of acquisition and authority. Several conflicts of interests arose within the societies scaling different dimensions and address different aspects and interests. Cause and effect have been the patterns in the social life or the society in general. Society changed and evolved, new treaties and agreements have been placed to address the issues of rationality. We in general changed to individuality, thus a system of beliefs evolved. The beliefs are often confronted by other belief, which some believe that they are unfounded and scientifically untrue. But human fail to understand belief’s are based on experience, exposure and interactions. Conflict of interest steamed up confrontations based on these belief’s, thus a system evolved. Systems safeguarded societies and conflicts arose from these roots. With an observer point of view, one could clearly draw significant difference, which impart confrontation between them for rationality, authority, greed, power or dominance. Imagine, the root cause of confrontations, the beliefs and the systems we live in. In the 1600, when the Arabic civilization had been at its peek, a system of belief that Hindu’s and all pagan based civilization are often confronted. The very nature of these confrontations evolved with each of these group of friends confronting different belief systems and ideologies. The British confronted with Pagan civilizations, Red Indians, Africans, While the germans took care of Africans etc. and the French with the Arabic civilization. Geographies and out reach played a vital role in shaping up belief systems. The mid 90’s has seen the rise of populists like Hitler and rationality has seen a new dimension, race and ethnicity have become vital aspects of the belief system. Having fought wars between belief systems and within Europe. Europe started revising a rationality agreement, that collective each one of us serve their interests, we are free to take on different systems based on our choices and interests. But we need some one, to place in the rule of law, who has access to all, When an enemy of an enemy is my friend and information from enemy of enemy is vital. Imagine one from with in stood up and said, let me take care of this issue, I have unlimited access to your enemies and your enemies by being neutral. This in the eyes of victim would give an impression of justice system, but in the eyes of the imperial powers would give unlimited access and information to strengthen their positions. The perennial enemy exists to date, that conflicts or confronts the interests of a system. When powers have equal capabilities. The evolved unterms of engagement to suit a specific situation, to buy in time for tactical and a strategic advantage. This today in the modern world is “negotiations”. Negotiating powers are based on military capabilities and the negotiator or the mediator is our observer or neutral power, who has unlimited access to wealth, power and knowledge. A negotiator can not only negotiate on all terms with every party. This would leave one with immense power, that one cannot imagine. Yes, the Swiss played the game of negotiator during world war’s. Post word war-II we have seen the evolution of world negotiating body termed as United Nations. Which in its own terms is null and void, a backdoor information gathering tool for enemy of my enemy games. As long as we have rationality, belief systems, military authority any system needs to face with conflict and confrontation.

In the 1800’s, it was India, Africa and Americas. Today, it is Palestinian, lebaneese and arab lands. The negotiating power of these newly regulated nations or concept of nations has been a tool for global domination. Luckily, the people of India, have bought a safe negotiating position with a nuclear weapon. So is Pakistan. If the arab world doesn’t ensure equal nuclear capabilities. We are not in a position to secure our negotiating right in the game. The perennial enemy awaits and opportunity and only the prepared have the opportunity. Else face extinction.Ironically, this is the game and we all are part of it.
The necessity for obtaining the negotiating rights are based on the authority, power and military capabilities to protect your interests and your belief system. Any factorial decrease in your negotiating power might see an escalation of conflict and authority to control resources or change in the authority and the belief system. As you see today from Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Ireland, ETA, Bolivia, Cuba, Venezuela, Iran. It is mere matter of time, the scale of rationality changes to a new dimension beyond earth. Where, some freak might just nuke the whole planet and come back to setup a new belief system all together again. Which might have different names from democracy to socialism, what ever you call it.

The author has presented a perspective of the situations we as individuals live in and any comments in this regard shall be entertained in collegial manner.

I was searching the internet yesterday to try to find some posters,
tshirts, bumperstickers etc that I could purchase. I came across the following:
    http://www.palestineonlinestore.com/ (they take international orders)
This is a tshirt that peace protesters in Britain want people to wear http://www.concepttshirts.co.uk/press-release/peace-lebanon.php

It does not take to much effort to display an item such as the above downloadable poster. Just remember, not everyone is asked by the pollsters what they think of the current situation and the online polls are a two-way street for skewed responses. But if you are openly wearing or displaying an item in support of Lebanon or Palestine there is no mistake about it. It might be a symbol as some smirk, but GET BRAVE!! Say to everyone who sees you how you feel without the need to be asked. Make your voices heard that you do NOT support the occupation or the invasion of Lebanon.
Display your convictions openly and with pride knowing that you are standing against these atrocities.

Sabbah, I am so sorry about what is happening in Gaza and in Lebanon.
This is a tradegy that should never have happened.
Is Hezoballah or Hamas right? I don’t know.
    Are the Israelis right? NO!
Hezbollah and Hamas strike civilians and that is wrong!
Israelis strikes civilians and that is wrong!
    This has to stop!

I feel that this is the difference between the Jews and Muslims. Jews will pass out leaflets calling for peace. When will we see Palestinians organizing to pass out leaflets against the suicide bombings? When will they say “Stop bombing. Start talking. End the resistance.”? We see Israelis marching on the streets for peace, against bombing, against occupation. We never see Palestinians marching for peace, against terrorism, against violence. We see them dancing in the street and passing out candy when Jewish children are massacred, but never dancing and cheering when a terrorist killer is caught. This seems to be the difference.

Terrorist organizations today are doubling in size from conflict to conflict, do bad things long enough, kill enough people and we will give you a political arm in which to fight your cause.

Standing tough and governing with fear of serious military consequences for terrorist acts will set an example for others to see. Set an explicit example so that others may fear the consequences of terrorism. We need to hold the governments to the uttermost responsibility for the terror there citizens create on other nations. The terrorists are a product of the governing body and leadership in public office in those sponsoring nations.

When the leaders know there will be serious consequences of exacting military bombardments on both civilian and military targets, then they will control there population.

The countries that are sponsoring terror do not fear the consequences of there actions, they receive a diplomatic slap on the wrist instead of a MOAB on there rooftop. Our country has grown weak and decedent. We are not taking the matter serious enough to the table of negotiations. Show some footage of a tactical nuke to our enemies let them know that we want to live in peace however this is the end of the line of friendly talks. Our next step is going to be a powerful strike that would make the Iraq shock and awe, look like a lightning bug display.

Strike hard, strike fast, strike with no regard for casualties, these women and children are the product of the husbands and they stand firm with them, kill them as well.

Iran shows footage of women and children marching and chanting death to Israel and America like hypnotized robots.

“Our country has grown weak and decedent.”

“Show some footage of a tactical nuke to our enemies let them know that we want to live in peace”.

“Strike hard, strike fast, strike with no regard for casualties, these women and children are the product of the husbands and they stand firm with them, kill them as well.”

Mike, with all due respect if those statements message are a genuine reflection of what you think, then I am sorry to have to inform you that you are a classic sociopath. Indeed, your putrid, hateful little rant could have just as easily have been written by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Usama bin Ladin, Mohammed Omar, Josef Stalin, Adolf Hitler or Pol Pot!

    I truly pity you.

    Money from oil (profits) increases.
Why doesn’t the US care about Lebanon? NO OIL!
Why does the US care about Iraq? OIL!
    What about Palestein? NO OIL!
Death toll! Who cares, they are just Ah-rabs!
Damn I am pissed off at Bush and Olmert!
