Come on. Even the Saudis, Jordanians and Eyptians said the Hezbollah attack sparked the Israeli response leading to the Israeli invasion. And oh yes, don’t forget that on July 11 there were no Israeli troops in Lebanon!

We Israelis got out of Lebanon six years ago. However, we’re not going to sit passively while the Syrian/Iranian occupiers of south Lebanon attack us. It’s not our business that Hezbollah is thumbing their noses and spitting on the government in Beirut. We just don’t like it when they kill us.

However, maybe you’re right and it was those darned Israelis who came out of nowhere to attack all those Lebanese civlians. And that Nasrallah is a real hero for bringing the Israelis back to Lebanon so that he can say that he’s resisting them! Gee, he even shot down the only helicopter Israel was leasing, sunk a few navy boats, knocked out a few dozen tanks, killed a gazillion zionist enemies, and even made some glorious martyrs out of little Muslim kids who were lucky enough to be living in the zionist entity to have the honor of getting blown away (oops, I mean ‘martyred’) by some katyushas.

So sure, you just go on believing that Israel’s air force bases are located in downtown Nahariya and Safed, and that Hezbollah “soldiers” all comply to international law and wear uniforms and fire their anti-zionist rockets from Hezbollah military bases and field positions located far away from anybody’s back yard.

Duh.
