I remain painfully puzzled by your infatuation with Nasrullah. Whatever you think of the Israelis, it shouldn’t blind you to the fact that Hizbullah, under his leadership, launched an attack which was bound to result in the devastatation of Lebanon. The blood of the victims whose pictures you have posted is on his hands as much as anyone.

The model for Arab leadership should be the late Rafik Hariri whose vision gave Arab youth something positive to live for–as opposed to another “blood of martyrs/Death to Israel” fanatic like Nasrullah.

As I sit here watching everything that’s going on, it’s so hard for me to understand what it must be like for women over there. I am a minority woman and an American citizen trying to rationalize all of this. I don’t trust the news, I can only look at the pictures and come to a conclusion based on interpreting what I see. In America, Hezbollah is deemed as a terrorist group and America supports Israeli combat against Hezbollah. I can’t, in good conscience, agree with any side that refuses to take into account the death and distruction this crisis has caused. While reading these blogs, my aim is to get a better understanding of what’s really going on. Why are Hezbollah and Isreal really fighting? Why can’t peace be achieved on both sides? What will it take to end this horrible crisis that is taking the lives of women and children in the Middle East? I will remain on the side of the innocent civilians (Palestinians and Israeli’s) who continue to lose their lives. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
