Top Ten Reasons to Oppose US Aid to Israel:

The Costs to American Taxpayers of the
Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: $3 Trillion.
June 2003, pages 20-23. Special Report. By Thomas R. Stauffer
http://guardian.150m.com/palestine/us-aid-to-israel.ht
(This is a seminal report that is often referred to when discussing aid to Israel)
ONE: “From FY1974 through FY2003, Israel has received more than $45 billion in waived loans [from the U.S. government].” That’s right… our government loaned $45 billion to Israel, and then said (in effect), “That’s okay, you don’t have to pay it back.” [It's not okay with me!] Source: Congressional Research Service, Lib. of Congress, http://www.usembassy.it/pdf/other/IB85066.pdf
Spot the difference? Israel is receiving THIRTY-NINE times the amount in waived loans (not expected to be repaid) compared to what the terrorist Bush administration is giving to the country which it encouraged the DEAD BEAT Israelis to destroy

In response to:
“Thank you America for paying for some of what you caused (directly or indirectly). And thank you tax payer for supporting the terrorist machine in Israel!! ”
Your welcome.
I am glad to fund a country that I love and that does not wish harm upon me and my family.
Wherever I stand, I stand with Israel.

Norberto Tauro,
I hope you can support your statement with numbers. Let’s see the millions that they pay to Hamas and Hezbollah. And it would be great to see what type of tanks, jets, etc… and how many nuclear bombs Hamas and Hezbollah have.
Girl,
Here is more for you:
And, thank you again for paying to kill our people. We LOVE you too!!!

Lebanon counts cost to rebuild
STARTING OVER: One researcher estimated it will cost more than US$7 billion to repair infrastructure such as roads and bridges, as well as homes and businesses http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/front/archives/2006/08/17/2003323490
“The United States also must help clean up a massive oil spill that is fouling the beaches and killing fish, and help rebuild the 46 destroyed bridges that are preventing relief supplies from reaching the thousands of displaced Lebanese, he said.
Then the Unites States should help in the “most important part of rebuilding – housing. Thousands of Lebanese are displaced because their housing was destroyed,” he added.
Issa said he does not want the United States to directly provide all the aid that would be needed for these tasks, which he estimated would cost at least $500 million.” (This is Darryl Issa, one of five Lebanese Congress members, Republican, dated 8/15/06)
http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/world/20060815-1349-cnsissa.html
My question: Why is it that Mr. Issa’s estimate to rebuild is 14 times less than what others are saying? Maybe that’s because Mr. Issa is an American Congressman tying to get by on the cheap with NO idea what the hell he’s talking about.
The offensive is estimated to have cost Israel $5.7 billion (4.4 billion euros), the equivalent of 10% of the state budget or about half of the defence budget. http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/F79C7CD9-6AAB-448B-9EFD-CEA0ABEDAE33.htm
Check, paid for entirely by US aid to Israel with change left over.
Meanwhile: “Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary-general of Hezbollah, has pledged to help rebuild Lebanon. Hezbollah social workers have begun distributing money to people who lost their homes so that they can buy furniture and pay rent. Each person is receiving $12,000 in cash.” (AlJazeera) and “”We want to bring south Lebanon back to life and rebuild it better than it was before the war,” said Nabil Kaouk, Hizbullah’s top official in southern Lebanon, standing before the group’s flattened headquarters building in Tyre.
In nearby villages, his supporters were already hard at work. Hizbullah activists in T-shirts and green caps cleared rubble-strewn roads and piles of rotting refuse, and ferried the dead and wounded through the scrub-covered hills in shiny modern ambulances.
But the most extravagant element of Hizbullah’s plan is to provide a year’s rent and a set of new furniture for every family whose house has been destroyed. The promise was made by Hizbullah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, within hours of Monday’s ceasefire”
Just one more ill-thought through, evil, terroristic STUPID move to “rebuild the Mideast” Please someone, these people couldn’t stack Legos on top of each other but they sure know how to build a house of cards which all falls down creating more of what they say they are fighting. They’ve labeled Hezbollah a “terrorist network”, now it’s GAINED power after this invasion and now only the neocons can fight it. Of course the whole purpose in the labeling IS to have an enemy, an enemy that is doing the rebuilding of Lebanon with their own hands. WHAAAAT? something just doesn’t make sense here. (woops, I think there might be a secret motive, in order to keep the neocons in power there NEEDS to be chaos which only it has the key to fight http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2003/0304.marshall.html
.
Add to this the constant funding of Israel and you’ve got your work cut out for you for a long time. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!
