Sa7teen: King Abdullah, Queen Rania and Prince Hussein

Their majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania and HRH Prince Hussein enjoy their sohour meal at Hashem Restaurant in downtown Amman earlier this week.

And for those wondering, this is one of the most humble places in Amman, yet one of the most crowded places. The food in front of the Royal family is one of the traditional and cheapest in Levant countries; Ful, Hum'mus and Falafel. Yet, I don't think that a week goes by without most (if not all) Levantine have one or all of these dishes!

Bon appetit!

Source: Unknown, but I found the same at Jordan Times, although there web site seems to be down (which is nothing new!) But Yahoo has a cached copy of the picture!

Being born a Dane, I can respect this picture because the Danish Queen is the same way in Denmark.
If you don't associate with the people, you won't know the people.
I have a high respect for King Hussain. Compare the picture with the Queen of England. She seems too aloof for the people, just like Bush and most other leaders.

They seem to be such a close and loving family, you just have to like them. Queen Rania is stunningly beautiful and a seem to be a loving and caring mother for both her children and her people. I wish them all well, they are great publicity for Jordan!

Nice photo! I like the fact that they aren't always hiding behind palace walls. It's ok sometimes, but they know how to get out and be real "folks". Good for them.

I hope to see more of this. I think we might with The Obamas. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/07/barack-obamasoc.html

It made me realize, as a blogger and a Jordanian, that a Queen partaking in blogging has completely different connotations. It emanates a perception of modernism and tech-savviness while reinforcing that degree of humility I've come to expect from the Royal family.
