The forces of the USA and UK, as occupying powers under international law, have clear obligations to protect the Iraqi population. These obligations derive from international humanitarian law, which has long defined the rules on belligerent occupation, complemented by human rights law, which binds any state exercising jurisdiction or control over a territory. The USA and UK must fulfill their obligations and continue to do so for as long as they exercise military authority over Iraq. But you know what, if Iraq is stable then what reason will be left for occupation to stay?

This was in the case of fallen soldiers pictures. So I guess no one is dying if the American public doesn't get the news or the pictures either of it's own dead or the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. I guess it's the Iraqi's problem after the transition was made yet we still occupy.
