Sokari has the latest development about the English football club, Arsenal, deal with Israel.

BOYCOTT_arsenalAfter the Israeli tourism ministry delayed the start of its advertising campaign with Arsenal for fear of receiving negative reactions due to the recent war on Lebanese, the 515,000 euros deal was announced. Arsenal’s managing director Keith Edelman said Israel would be the club’s “official and exclusive travel destination.” But that’s not all. Here are some more:

- Israel will be featured on digital perimeter boards and 450 high-definition LCD screens at the stadium on game days;

- Israel will feature on the team’s website, Arsenal.com; and in its magazine.

- The televised ads will reach audiences in an estimated 198 countries.

- The Israeli Tourism Ministry will receive intellectual property rights, the use of the team logo and the right to use photos of the team and its players in ads.

- The Israeli Tourism Minister will be allowed use the stadium banqueting hall twice a year and organize an exhibition at the end of the playing season

- The stadium will hold permanent sale tables for Israel t-shirts

So this English sucker soccer club has sold it sole to the Zionist and will be officially promoting the war criminals and the apartheid state of Israel, which is built on my occupied land and the blood of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian martyrs.

It is money, that’s all. If you can buy a supper power country, you can buy a club, if you have the right connections and play it well.

Meanwhile, need I remind my English friends, and Arsenal fans that their club’s sponsor; Israel, has ban the Palestinian team from traveling abroad to participate in Asian Games?! Don’t we all promote that “sports” is another means of “peace”?! But not Israel. Now, “sport is another mean to promote the Israeli occupation and their terrorists.”

Anyway, Sokari decided to ditch Arsenal after being one of their fans for very long. It’s (y)our turn to do the same, if not more.

.il advertising themselves with a football club ? to me, the implication is that the liar brigades know perfectly well at what abject level the perception of their ‘product’ is that they feel it necessary to appear featured before the proles side-by-side with mc-donalds, rexona and awd.

what’s next ? will they send the rabbis and apprentices of whatever yeshiva-nearest-to-you out in force to evangelize goyim door-to-door like mormons and insurance peddlers do ?

how pathetic can these people get ?

Palestine has quit men’s volleyball event of the Doha Asiad due to traveling difficulties, the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) announced in Doha on Sunday.

The Palestine delegation just informed that there is no chance for its volleyball team to participate in the games as the border in Gaza Strip is still closed and no athletes or team officials can get out of Gaza, said Yim Hyung Bin, AVC’s vice president in a press release.

It is not clear if other Palestine athletes can make their trips to Doha and their situation will be assessed on a day-by-day basis, said Yim.

I don’t care WHAT you say, there IS a way for these Palestinian sports teams to travel to their games NO MATTER what excuse Israel gives. I’m not a sports expert by any means but isn’t there some kind of international organization that these teams who have been denied travel could appeal to? And if there is my own personal opinion is that the Israeli teams should be barred from participating because of their country’s actions. As for Arsenal, again I am not a sports expert, but just having the above infornmation leaves a BAD taste in my own mouth. Maybe I’m naive in this area, but I for one feel that sports should be a politics-free zone, or at the very least that should be the goal (no pun intended)

Aren’t we also supposed to boycott Fly Emirates, the proud sponsor of Arsenal!

    Abu Shreek,

Who said that our Arabian governments and their corporate businesses are better than our enemy?

I understand your frustration with the political situation in the Middle East, but in all honesty do you think Arsenal is pro-Israel for partnering with in an advertising campaign? In all honesty I’m not too fond of Fly Emirates as a sponsor on the kits -I’ll take JVC and O2 any day- but the fact of the matter is business is business and you need to take it at that face value. I just don’t understand the whole Zionist conspiracy in the Arab world. I’m not trying to downplay anything done to your people, but it’s really time to move forward, stop being so fanatical, find peace within yourself and learn to live together.
