Here comes a new Jewish group to be added to the SHIT List!

A group of prominent British Jews today declared independence from the country’s Jewish establishment because it support Israel.

“The Independent Jewish Voices” will publish an open letter on the Guardian’s Comment is Free web site calling for a free debate about the Middle East within the Jewish community. Current signatories to the declaration are more than 130. Signatories comes from broad spectrum of opinion among the British Jewish population. They come together in the belief that the broad spectrum of opinion among the Jewish population of UK is not reflected by those institutions (”Board of Deputies of British Jews”, which call itself “the voice of British Jewry”) which claim authority to represent the Jewish community as a whole.

They say that Jewish leaders in Britain argues to “put support for the policies of an occupying power above the human rights of an occupied people” in conflict with Jewish principles of justice and compassion.

The fraction between Jews and Israel is increasing day by day. Will Christians (such as Bush and Christian Zionists, if we can call them Christians – more here) start “debating” about their support to Israel too, soon?
