Thanks to everyone who asked and offered support to bring back Sabbah's Blog back live! As you can see, I'm back after a very complicated issue with the server that hosts my blog(s).

The data center failed to diagnose an imminent hard drive failure, at the same time the data backups were failing and data recovery experts failed to salvage data from drive.

There is a lot of work to be done to restore the blog to it's last position on March 22nd and I'm working on that. As you can see, I managed to restore the archive until Jan 9th, which is good, but not as good as I wished it be. Never the less, I will restore a copy of the post between Jan 24th and March 22 in a day or two (other posts between Jan 9th and Jan 24 were lost).

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused to anyone. Please bear with me while I put things back together and my apology in advance if you get and issue while browsing around. I know some links are broken and some posts are not in place, etc…. Please feel free to report any issue you might face and I'll do my best to fix it ASAP.

Once again, thank you for all your support and kind words.

PS. This is a temp server, so it might be slow some time (I hope not) and will be moving to better server in a week or so.

Update – Mar 27th, 2007: Last night, I finished manually restoring post that were not available in my homemade backup (backup dated Jan, 2007). I had to do it the hard way and restore each and every post from Google cache, that is from Jan 2007 to Mar 2007 (too many, I lost count).

The sad thing is that I can not restore comments added to these posts, so I lost the most valuable part of my blogging here for these post. I truly regret that and apology for this, but it is impossible to restore each and every comment manually from google (it will take me few months if I start doing that). Again, I'm truly sorry for this as reader comments always added extra value to the posts here. OTOH, I'm working so that it will never happen again. In fact, I increased my budget almost by 1/3 of what I'm paying now to cover the cost of the new server that I'm renting to host my blog(s), and since we are on it, please note that I'm now running on a temp server (slow and chunky) for few days until my new server is ready to move to (which will be faster and more stable), so please bear with me.

All right, now I'm ready to go back to business and resume blogging… drums :)

    Thank God you made it back!! I am so sorry I wasn't around for a few days and wasn't up to date! It must have been devastating for you – put so much work in it as well as in Palestine Blogs to make both as great as they have always been are still are!
