This 52 min video is a must see by our fellow Americans (and everyone else) who still have doubts about the power of the pro-Israel Lobby.
Quoting Charles Vermeulen: This weeks edition of Tegenlicht, a documentary program by the Dutch public broadcast organization VPRO, allows several interesting opinion makers to speak on the future of the American and Israel relationship and the reception of John Mearsheimer’s and Steve Walt’s controversial articel ‘The Israel Lobby and US foreign policy’. Among others John Mearsheimer, former chief of staff to United States Secretary of State Colin Powell Lawrence Wilkerson, cofounder of the ‘Christians United for Israel’ lobbying group John Hagee, neoconservative Richard Perle and historian Tony Judt express their views in Marije Meerman’s and William de Bruijn’s documentary. Dictator Bush doesn’t see the real world.
Israel is not a democracy but a dictatorship as Bush let them to live.
Olmert is fighting for his survival with a life raft supplied by Bush.
This is at the cost of Palestinian lives. This is at the cost of freedom fighters.
But Bush and Olmert call them terrorists.
Let’s steal more land and kill more terrorists in defence of Israel and call it diplomacy.
The West Bank and Gaza are a fraction of what they were after the settlers stole their lands.
But that is OK because the terrorists (freedom fighters) are a threat.
They don’t deserve these lands because THEY ARE TERRORISTS.
I might be stupid, but if someone takes my land by force and I try to defend myself. Would I be a terrorist?
If someone invades my country and I defend it, would I be a terrorist?
If another great country tells me to be docile for my occupation, and I refuse. Would I be a terrorist.
If that same great country tells me to accept my losses and my friends and family will be segregated politically by a Democratic country that does not recognise me and I don’t agree. Will I be a terrorist?
If that same great country is a symbol of democracy and they tell me to be subserviant to another democracy that doesn’t recognise me and I don’t agree. Am I a terrorist?
Let’s go down the list.
Land is stolen.
People are killed.
People are told to accept the stolen land.
People are told to accept democracy. Except our democratically chosen government isn’t accepted by another democratically chosen government.
We get invaded regularily by our occupiers because we have occupied our lands for centuries that they want.
And if we resist we are terrorists!

Forgive me. But I think I am right.
The French Comic Dieudonné has been accused of “anti-semitism” and has been blackballed from television because of his criticisms of Israel and zionism. The press has completely ignored this conference with Dieudonné and four anti-zionist rabbis though.

The rabbi speaking makes the point that Israel and zionism are responsible for promoting “anti-semitism” today. But usually when I make that argument, I am usually accused of “anti-semitism” by the zionist lobby.

Sabbah, as it is difficult for me too to hear the English under the interpretation, here is what the interpretor says at the end at about 7 minutes.
