Early in the morning of April 9, 1948, commandos of the Irgun (headed by Menachem Begin) and the Stern Gang attacked Deir Yassin, a village with about 750 Palestinian residents. The village lay outside of the area to be assigned by the United Nations to the Jewish State; it had a peaceful reputation. But it was located on high ground in the corridor between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Deir Yassin was slated for occupation under Plan Dalet and the mainstream Jewish defense force, the Haganah, authorized the irregular terrorist forces of the Irgun and the Stern Gang to perform the takeover.

In all over 100 men, women, and children were systematically murdered. Fifty-three orphaned children were literally dumped along the wall of the Old City, where they were found by Miss Hind Husseini and brought behind the American Colony Hotel to her home, which was to become the Dar El-Tifl El-Arabi orphanage.

This is another example of Israel’s brutality and history of barbarism:

This why my Jewish grandmother gave up her religion.
I am proud of her. She is now desceased.
But I will now carry on her beliefs.
The Zionists were taking land that belongs to the Palestinians that was outside the Zionist promised lands. And they are still doing it.
If I am against this, am I a terrorist?

‘a land without a people for a people without a land’

…on days like this i think that zionists must’ve been surprised when they discovered that the former part of that statement turned out to be false.

    Nas,

That should be true ONLY IF they consider those massacred as HUMANS. Otherwise, their statement is true!!!

Being a native male here in the land the Creator gave to my peoples to take care of and treat like our own mothers, I know I really know the heartbreak of watching theifs come and destroy and kill and maim in the name of jesus crist the moral sword the anglocants use to steal and then they MAKE UP BULLSHIT HISTORY and even call it manifested destiny (stealing with jesuses consent)the isralis of today are just that theifs using a pretend god to get thier ends.

Thank you Haitham for bringing up this presentation and thanks for all who have made it possible to tell the story of Deir Yassin.

So painful this story is and so cruel. But I see hope in many corners of this dark road those people have to go through.

I see hope in Mrs. Hind al Husaini who shared her bread and her life with the Orphans.

I see hope in those who fought till the last drop of blood to defend their village.

I see hope in all the people who remember Deir Yassin in a spirit of love and a desire for peace.

I see hope in the orphanage that became a big school.

The people of Palestine are alive. Their roots extend for ten thousand years in the soil of Palestine. They have seen disasters and cruelty, but they continued to thrive and have ever risen from the ashes. They will survive. No fear. No fear.

I dropped a tear seeing the old woman from Deir Yassin kiss the tree branch. Once she reached Deir Yasin graveyard, she did not head for the dead or the graves of her dear sons and daughters, but instead she picked up the branch of her old tree and kissed it and put it on her head. Palestine is caring, thats what she said amongst her tears. Yes Palestine is caring. It is our mother that has gave birth to us for thousands of years and has cared for us. Our mother Palestine, we are alive.

Thousands of years has passed and we, like our trees, are deep rooted in the heart of history. The Pharos has came up us at Ashkilon in the name of Ammon, the Jewish tribes masaccared us at Jericho in the name of Yahwa, the Assyrians plundered our villages in the name of Ashur, the Greek came and the Romans came to rule us in the name of Zeus and Jupiter, but all the invaders have gone and we stayed, we the Palestinians.

    The Palestinians are alive.

    Very powerful words, Thameen.

It is unfortunate that you don’t have time to update your blog often.

Please keep coming and share with us your thoughts.

Thank you Thameen for your thoughts and memories.
    I was very moved.
These are the comments we don’t hear or feel in the West.
    Again I thank you.

I want to second Kimmy’s excellent comments. As all of history has shown, the jew is NOT a human being, but an utterly degnerate beast worthy only of death. If only there really HAD been a truly “final solution”! Hopefully, the Palestinian people will soon bring that about.

    Honest Guy,

I’m afraid that you miss understood Kimmy’s comments. Also, I don’t agree with you about accusing Jews. Judaism is a religion, just like Christianity, Islam, etc… There are Jews who are just as peaceful as any other Christian, Muslims… yet there are criminals from all religions.

What the Palestinians and the world suffer from is something beyond any religion. Zionism is the right word for the description. They are nothing more than a cancer that kills all who come across it, including Jews.

Also, not all Zionists are Jews, like not all Jews are Zionists. In fact Neocon Zionists are not less worse than other Zionists. Best example is Bush and his administration/supporters.
