Ynet News reports that Lod residents protest Arab neighbors. Hundreds of demonstrators gather in front of home sold to Arab family in attempt to change owner’s mind; plan to protest all week.

Hundreds of Jews protested against an Arab family moving into the Naveh Zayit neighborhood in Lod on Saturday, and two demonstrators were taken in for questioning.
Preparations for the protest began after residents of the neighborhood discovered that one of their neighbors had signed a contract to sell his home to an Arab family.
Immediately upon hearing this, tenant representatives went door-to-door, distributing fliers calling to “save the neighborhood”.
Some 200 residents responded to the call and gathered in front of the seller’s home to protest the deal.

The residents said that they planned to hold protests all week long, in another attempt to change the owner’s mind.“We have no problem with Arabs living in their own neighborhoods, but they’d better stay out of our neighborhood,” one of the residents told Ynet, “this is their way to slowly kick us out of the city by taking over Jewish neighborhoods. Just like we don’t go live in their neighborhoods, they shouldn’t come live in our neighborhoods.”

I find this humorous. No, they do not go live in Arab neighborhoods, the Israeli army confiscates Arab land to build neighborhoods for them though. Lest they forget that most all of the so called “Israelis” are living in what once were Arab neighborhoods. Neighborhoods that Muslims, Jews and Christians called home and lived side by side in peace together until this illegal regime of terror began.
Could you imagine this scenario if it were in any other democratic state or against any other nationality? The level of rascism that is tolerated from the people of Israel by the world is sickening.
Anyone want to bet we won’t be seeing Katie Couric read this story on the CBS Evening News?

Damn. Free speech might be necessary but it shore ain’t pretty.
While every country has racists and it is an intractible social problem everywhere, it is embarrasing when the entire world is at war over the question of justice for Palestinians.
