What people don’t know about Jim Zogby and the Arab American Institute is that he is not the representative of the Arab American community to the American media and political system, he is the American political system’s representative to the Arab American community. Jim has supported sanctions on Iraq, has supported invasion of Iraq. Has single handedly undermined competing secular Arab American groups like ADC by helping launch pro-Saudi Muslim American groups like AMC and MPAC and others who have moves away from Arab human and national rights issues. He is popular because the Saudis back him up. Jim Zogby is the child of Saudi money, who decided that leftist and secular groups like Arab American Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is just too darn progressive and too darn leftist for their taste. So they have bankrolled AAI and AMC and MPAC. Lukily for us, the most effective Muslim American group, CAIR, is run by Arab Americans with strong ties to the Sham area.
