A lot of effort nowadays is put in by the media to sow deep disencouragement into the hearts of Palestinians and their supporters. It is basically the same tactic as Israel’s ‘fait accompli’ strategy - grab the land, plant a flag, and hang on to it until everyone is tired of arguing with you about it. This is the strategy with the mind: implant the thought that the ‘dream is over’ - and it will at least partly have the effect of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

The media are sowing despair with almost every article they are broadcasting or publishing about Palestine. They are preparing the world for Israel’s next brutal acts: the offical announcement of Jerusalem as their capital, Gaza mass bombardments, expelling thousands of Palestinians … they are priming the public reaction to it by already making everyone expect the worst, without too much criticism of Israel. In the eyes of many Westerners, what happened in Gaza will make many things Israel will do, acceptable. Or at least, thats what the media giants hope.

Not that the events arent extremely worrying - but Palestinians and their allies need to immunize themselves to the extra disencouragements the media are trying to instill.

Don’t be demoralized, all! Even if the worst comes to the worst, there will always be a Palestinian Dream. Not only that - at long last it will become a Palestinian Reality, no matter how long it takes to get there.

I am really sorry for Hamas.
They were legally elected in Gaza.
    The US screwed up.
    They hate Hamas.
    Palestein needs leadership.
Hamas happens to be that leadership.
    What is the problem?
Bush is the problem. Not Hamas.
