		<description>FLASHBACK

Haitham,

I want to share with your readers a poll of the American public showing how overwhelmingly they were in favor of war on Iraq, not because of WMD or Al-Qaeda link, but just to change the regime. This goes to show that not only the American president is dishonest, but most Americans who today are anti-war are dishonest too. It seems the only time Americans develop a conscience is if they feel they are losing. Suddenly, they become angelic and pro-peace.

&quot;a USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll showed that Americans are largely supportive of taking action but with some conditions. Although 57% support sending U.S. ground troops to oust Saddam Hussein from power, that support increases significantly if the United Nations and Congress gave their backing:  * 79% favor an invasion of Iraq if the U.N. approves. * 69% favor an invasion if Congress approves.&quot;
