Jewish & Arab Congressmen appeal for more Palestinian funding
A Jewish and an Arab-American congressman are seeking co-signers for a letter urging greater U.S. funding for Palestinian Authority reforms.
Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-N.Y.), the Jewish chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Middle East subcommittee, and Rep. Charles Boustany (R-La.) initiated the letter.
“We are writing to both commend you for your efforts to reinvigorate the Israeli-Palestinian peace process by convening an international meeting this fall and to respectfully suggest that additional measures by the United States in the near term will be necessary to preserve the possibility of success,” says the letter circulating in the House… (read more!)
Did you notice something in the above quote? The Jewish Congressman is just Jewish, but the Arab is Arab-American?… (to make sure we understand that the Arab Congressman is not a foreigner? or to stigmatize him a sort of foreigner?)…
Can someone tell JTA that all Congressmen & women are American. Regardless of race or religion (unless I’m missing something).
Anyway, two out of 435.. pretty damned PATHETIC!!!
